Felipe Luis is 28 but has been really good anytime I've seen Athletico.

There is little or no appreciable difference between Rafa and Coleman. Certainly not enough to justify the 15 or so mill it would take to get him from Everton. Well, except that Rafa's a better player of course. No idea why so many people are fawning over Coleman all of a sudden. Yeah, he's a good player having a great season but come on. We should definitely sign him, no Everton folk never look out of their depth here. As for TB, if only we had known he was an extremely slow starter that needed a team built around him, we could have saved ourselves £10m and bought Strootman. Sackable offence IMO. As for those fawning over Dave for the Mata signing, from what I hear David Gill was heavily involved in securing the deal. Dave probably still thinks we`re scouting him

Not getting top four should be a sackable offence.

Not getting top four should be a sackable offence. Yeah but he didn't say that.

Felipe Luis is 28 but has been really good anytime I've seen Athletico. Many say he has been far better than Marcelo this season and deserves to start for Brazil. Unless contract is winding down, will be pricey.

We are short on captains but it can't be Rooney. I'd be looking at a short term captain until Jones or De Gea or someone takes over it'd definitely be Fletch if he can pplay regularly. I can think of 24 more suitable options than Rooney, sorry 23, forgot about Young.

Apparently ... Seems we could get one more before this weekend , if we are to believe reports that one more medical is booked

BBC Gossip round-up:
Manchester United will attempt to recruit Newcastle midfielder Yohan Cabaye, 28, in the last days of the transfer window in a deal estimated to be worth around £20m.
Manchester United manager David Moyes is lining up summer deals for Bayern Munich midfielder Toni Kroos, 24, and Borussia Dortmund midfielder Marco Reus, also 24.

Not ordinarily but given the circumstances yes, though I may be biased lol, having worked with our squad for two months he still considered TB, who he worked with for 5 years at Everton, £27.5M (our 4th most expensive signing) worth of improvement. Had he arrived with Fellaini and then found that he was our worst player I would have been more forgiving. He knew his stats inside out, he should have known all his capabilities and more importantly his limits. For me the transfer is inexcusable, at best it proves that DM s judgement is piss poor. I wouldnt trust him with any transfer "war chest", but then I wouldnt have given a guy who hasnt won an away game against the top 4 in 48 attempts and plays such negative, fear based Football the Manchester United job.

The Daily Mail actually have a live blog of the Mata press conference. I know its a big signing and its a good blog for us but jeez. Slow news day or what? Just proves even further how big United are.
