damn... this Cabaye rumor isn't going away , tweets a plenty apparently. not liking this one bit tbh . as for Fella, still feel we should judge him after a full season, he ain't going away and he has played with injury so lets give him a chance.

I would still give Fella his fair share of chances

In a midfield three.
EDIT: Actually, to be honest, I have a lot more faith in Felliani coming good now the he has Mata to play in the same team with. Mata can make everyone better.

From the presser...
David Moyes: "There will be more player like Juan coming in the future."
I bloody hope so! I just wonder who, out of the hundreds we have been linked with, we are going to get...pretty bullish statement from Moyes but is it all bluster (again)?

Mata also said he was happy with the players coming in next summer. So apparently deals have already been made for summer transfers. Let the inevitable CR7 rumours commence.

Mata to wear #8 shirt. Maybe waiting for giggs to retire so he can take the #11 shirt

Not ordinarily but given the circumstances yes, though I may be biased lol, having worked with our squad for two months he still considered TB, who he worked with for 5 years at Everton, £27.5M (our 4th most expensive signing) worth of improvement. Had he arrived with Fellaini and then found that he was our worst player I would have been more forgiving. He knew his stats inside out, he should have known all his capabilities and more importantly his limits. For me the transfer is inexcusable, at best it proves that DM s judgement is piss poor. I wouldnt trust him with any transfer "war chest", but then I wouldnt have given a guy who hasnt won an away game against the top 4 in 48 attempts and plays such negative, fear based Football the Manchester United job. Or, we panicked, paid over the odds for a proven Premier League midfielder, who had a midfield built round him, to come in and further paper over the cracks in our midfield. Some people need to give Fellaini a break. He wanted to come here, and put in a transfer request to make sure he did. That has to count for something. I agree that he was a panic buy, which further proves poor judgement on Moyes` part. I hope to God he doesnt plan on building our midfield around him and if not, makes the signing even more ridiculous. The naivety shown by DM and EW in the Summer was staggering. Fabregas and his agent played them like a fiddle to guarantee first team Football at Barca. Was it Perez or Calderon at RM that got Figo signed from Barca? They inserted a clause in the early negotiations with Figo that left him liable to a costly tune if he reneged on the transfer at any future point. Not really admirable but then top end Business rarely is, message was you dont string these guys along or they will fuck you, whereas Dave and Ed bent over and took balls and all. Of course Fellaini wanted to come here, he was at Everton, its not like he stepped down to play for us. Of course he wanted to jump ship to one of the Worlds biggest Clubs and double his salary, who wouldnt force that if possible. Im quite sure he`s not the only player willing to join us.

Remains to be seen whether he will be able to bear the weight of that famous No.8 shirt of Anderson.

That's a bit subjective, isn't it? Was Fellaini really proven at our level, in the role we need him for? A player wanting to come to Manchester United from Everton when no-one else was bidding deserves a modicum of respect but it isn't as if he's turned down big money from Everton to stay or from elsewhere. Well, yes, he was/is a proven Premier League footballer. He played in the league for 4/5 years before moving here. Arguing he's not United class is moot, as I didn't say he was or wasn't. You word skewerer. Second bit: What about Dwight Yorke? He handed in a transfer request at Aston fucking Villa. From what I recall no one else was in for him. And at the time, was thought we'd overpiad there too. So it's not like Fellaini is a one-off example. Although I agree with the sentiment, that it shouldn't have taken a transfer request to twist Everton's arm, when wecould've methis release clause. But that's a whole other arguement I don't want to get into. As far as I can remember, no-one had to justify Yorke being here by saying 'he put in a transfer request.' The difference is, Yorkie made an instant impact once he got here, so nobody had to. Fellaini has work to do, a lot of it.

I hope Fellani can come good. I think he was a big overwhelmed but he needs to be helped tactically by the staff. Throwing him into a midfield two with Carrick has no chance. Let's hope the brains trust have come up with something in his absence.
As 8 is Matas that's the end of Ando you'd think. Shame it didn't happen for him, thought he'd be huge for us.
A couple of things on Cabaye- he's been very good snytime I've seen him playing for France. He was the best player on the pitch when Newcastle beat us but this was brushed under thd carpet by people that don't rate him. If he was say 18 mill he'd be a good buy. Any more then forget it. And if PSG go back in for him we need to be top of the queue for Matuidi.
