Pity Le Tiss forget to explain you have to produce genius on the pitch to get away with it.

England looked 10 times better when Carrick came on for Lampard the other night. Fully expect Roy to go back to the ever successful Frank/Stevie axis though,

Absolutely 0 chance England will win the world cup with Gerrard & Lampard in midfield together so why even bother? I'd love to see the likes of Barkley & Morrison given a go, the earlier the better. It'll do great things for their development.

It'll do great things for their development. There's no chance of England winning the World Cup regardless of who they have in midfield. I think (all hatred put aside) Gerrard still has enough to be in that midfield. He's got a decent enough range of passing to play that deeper role. Lampard I'm not so sure about. You certainly wouldn't want both of them in there together no matter how great or small England's chances of winning the World Cup are. If it has to be one or the other then Gerrard is the better option. And he's the captain so he's obviously not the one who'll be dropped. For what it's worth I think England are on the right lines just flinging all the attacking talent they have out there. The World Cup is out of the question so why not play Rooney, Super Dan, Sturridge and another ultra-attacking player? At least bow out in the quarters having scored some goals. There's nothing to lose so go out to Brazil and try to entertain at least.

Onwards to Brasil'!
Gerrard and Carrick should definitely start ahead of Lampard. You could arguably play Lampard behind Rooney / in front of Carrick - Gerrard duo, but it isn't that tempting.

Hope England get knocked out of the group stage. Rooney, Zeus-willing, will be the fuck out of our club by then so there will be a different United lion to pin the blame on.

I was reading the match report on the England game and it wasn't 'til the end I worked out Schmichael was playing for Denmark. Of course he was but he seems fully English.
And he has kids so Peter is a Grandad.

Was gobsmacked he didnt get motm, pulled off some cracking saves. Only for that clueless fuck nugget Andy Townsend to give it to the 12 yr old with 3 kids from 3 different women and a traditional English name...Raheem.

England have not won a match without a Manchester United player in the team since 1998.
And yet our lads are the players singled out to get it in the neck. Fuck England.

I watched the game and failed to see how on Earth they came to the decision to give Raheem Stirling the MotM award. His entire game involved pointlessly running into trouble and being pushed off the ball. Schmeichel made some blinding saves yet because he's on the opposing team, apparently that means he can't win it, because that would be un-patriotic. Sod that.
Anyway, I don't think England were as bad as people have been making out. They were just too slow and Rooney and Sturridge kept on dropping too deep, leaving no options up front (ring any bells?). They're going to be battered by Uruguay and Italy in the World Cup, severely battered.

Gave up watching after Ramsey took Bobby off and we have lost to Germany ever since. They had our golden generation and still fucked up. England's competence is matched by Moyes at OT - clueless, useless and pointless.
