Notts County are in trouble also arn't they?
I think they're ok. Bolton are the other one in real trouble too. Another club with 100+ years of history. The PL & FA really should have a duty of care to make sure these institutions are kept afloat. Not sure how, but there's more money in football than ever, and it's siloed at the top. I'm surprised none of the big local teams havnt gave a little to help them out, play a friendly and give all the money or something

PL teams should be 'taxed' % of their TV revenue, which is then put into a trust, where the FA can the distribute the wealth to lower league football. It's a silly idea, but it's just literally popped into my head. Probably 0.05% of our TV revenue would ensure Bury survived the season, keeping lots of people employed within a local community. It's not just footballers that are hit by this but club admin staff, caterers, suppliers etc, it affects whole communities.

Steve Dale couldn’t provide evidence of Bury’s finances going forward. They’ll likely get kicked out of the league. They’ll likely cease to exist after this week. 134 years of football heritage gone. No one seems to care. It should be a national outrage.

Sol finally gets to prove how incredible he is, after being appointed Macclesfield manager. Sacked by the end of the season i reckon. So close. Left "by Mutual Consent" just now.

My initial reaction is that it would be great PR but then where does it end? It would set an interesting precedent.

Then loan half their academies to them, see what they can do in that environment.

Steve Dale was on Talksport this morning. In typical fashion, he answered zero questions directly. Despite repeatedly asking if people would answer his questions with yes or no. Even one of his players.
The question Martin Keown asked him really rattled him.

He was taken by Inter when he was a youth player and then loaned at various clubs. Been with Palermo in Serie B last year and did good. He was Romania's best player in this summer's U21 Euros when we reached the semi-finals. Kid really has talent and I think he'll succeed. If he has a good season with Reading this year, think we'll see him in the Premier League next season.
