www1.skysports.com/football/news/12040/8838397/adnan-januzaj-not-keen-on-loan-move-from-manchester-unitedManchester United youngster Adnan Januzaj insists he would rather remain at Old Trafford and fight for a starting place than move elsewhere on loan. The 18-year-old Belgian winger has yet to make a first-team appearance for United but was named on the bench for the 5-5 draw at West Brom in Sir Alex Ferguson's final game last season. Januzaj was taken on the club's pre-season tour to the Far East and Australia by boss David Moyes and has made a positive impression so far. "My target for the season is to try and get some games for the first team," he said. "I have not spoken to the manager about it yet but I would prefer to do that rather than go out on loan. "That is what I came here for. Everyone wants to play for Manchester United." The former Anderlecht player has also been seeking guidance from veteran winger Ryan Giggs, who is now part of United's coaching staff. "For the first few months when I came here, it was very hard," said Januzaj. "But gradually, my English started to improve. I could speak to other people and connect with them. "Now I feel confident and happy to be with the players, and in particular Ryan Giggs. Every time I need to ask something, I go to Giggs. He helps me quite a lot." --------- Love this lad.

www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/manchester-uniteds-adnan-januzaj-wants-2087562Adnan Januzaj wants new Manchester United contract after impressing in pre-season Manchester United youngster Adnan Januzaj has revealed he wants to sign a new deal with the Premier League champions, writes David McDonnell in Hong Kong . Januzaj, 18, voted United's Young Player of the Year last season, has impressed on the club's ongoing pre-season tour of Australia and the Far East . The Belgian has attracted interest from Juventus and Barcleona, but Januzaj, who has one year left on his current deal, wants to commit himself to United. "I don't decide what happens with my contract," said Januzaj. "I've got people behind me who do this for me. "Manchester United are a big club, I love it here and I feel good, so I hope to stay. "My dad does everything for me [off the pitch]. He just told me to work hard on the pitch, which is what I try to do." anuzaj impressed in the opening game of United's tour, a 1-0 defeat in Bangkok , and has also looked sharp and inventive in game in Sydney and Tokyo. New United boss David Moyes has given several young players a chance to impress on tour, something Januzaj is determined to embrace and exploit. "On this tour I've tried to do my best and worked hard on the pitch," said Januzaj. "But it's hard for us as well, with all the travelling and moving between different countries and time-zones. "I've tried to impress the manager and make sure I give myself the chance to stay with the first-team." Januzaj was deployed just behind Robin van Persie in a 3-2 defeat in Tokyo, and said he relished the chance to play with such an experienced striker. "It's great because he's obviously a big player," said Januzaj. "When you play with big players like him you feel confident, which is good. "There will maybe be a chance for me to play there [off the main striker] this season, so we will see in the future what will happen. "I think it's a big season for me. Like I said, I've tried to impress the manager and try to play regularly. "I worked hard last season. I didn't play in my favourite position, more as a striker, but I think I did well."

10 year deal, with big incremental salary and bonus increases at the end of each year/two years.

Yeah, sign him up! Crerand was saying how impressed they've been with his progress having just started playing U21's quite late last season. Brilliant he has taken these opportunities on the tour and shown his ability. Exciting looking player, has a bit of elegance and class about him. Seems to have a good attitude on the pitch with his workrate and confidence to make things happen. Reading those interviews seems the good attitude extends off the pith also.
Young players are showing what they've got and made the pre-season matches worth a watch. Hopefully these lads can go on and get plenty of opportunities. Zaha in particular looks very ready, raw of course. Januzaj is like a rake skinny wee fecker, you'd think he'd get bullied/pushed about in the league.

From last night's u/21s defeat.
I haven't been this excited about a youth player since Pogba and Januzaj is probably better on the ball than the latter.
Really hope he gets some minutes, a new contract and some opportunities in the cup. His first touch, passing range and movement are sublime. If he bulks up a bit he can become top, top notch.

Have we tied him down to a 15 year contract yet? No, we're going to use him as a makeweight in the Eto'o deal.
