If we don't give this lad a new LONG TERM contract then we have no hope left.

The problem with contracts is his age and maturity. He looks good now but once a few of the bully boys have clattered him and he has a few injuries his talent might wane. Look at Macheda all promise and now with Doncaster at 22. The period 18-24 is quite tough on players. Look at Clevs, he was doing great then got stamped on by that clown at Bolton and was out for quite a time.

While I see your point there is a massive difference between Macheda and Januzaj in all fairness. One was an unknown player that nobody really knew anything about and has lived off 1 goal. Whereas the other has come through the rankings in the youth system and has shown everyone that watches the games that he has clear talent. He is definitely one for the future. He's only 18 so he will take hits, he will bulk up to deal with that.

I was no way excited about Macheda as I am Januzaj when it comes to the raw talent part...

When asked about Januzaj's contract Moyes said he was confident that he will sign a new deal.

When asked about Januzaj's contract Moyes said he was confident that he will sign a new deal. To be fair he also said he was confident of bringing in players and all we managed was an 11th hour Felliani bid. Actions speak louder than words, say it instead of doing it.

Remember Alan Davies and the hype about theFA cup againstBrighton and then he broke a leg. Keith Gillespie had all the promise and there was a lot of commotion when he went to the Geordies. There were others. The 92 school were an exception. I just don't get my hopes up about young players anymore.

If we want to make a youngster a superstar, we can. It's the ones we inexplicably decide not to that leave me head in hands.

The boy wants to stay. He's obviously incredibly talented and the manager has given him a taste of first team action and been singing his praises.
If we manage to fuck this up then I won't know what to say.

As i said earlier, if we've any bit of sense we'll sign the kid up. Absolute no brainer.

Jani was the star of the show vs Bolton (U-21). Lingard scored a brace with Keane too slotting in one. However, Adnan Januzaj demonstrated exactly why he’s knocking on the door of the first team with a masterclass of craft, vision and technique. According to sources "Januzaj was the principal architect, producing penetrating passes and glorious touches throughout the half, but he was supported in particular by some fine overlapping play from Varela and the consistently menacing Jesse Lingard."
Jani provided the assist for the third goal with a wonderful freekick which found the head of Tom Thorpe. GO Jano GO. You gonna be a STAR
