I read something on the 'net recently:
When you get past 90, it isn't called 'dying'. It's called winning the game.
Not ther exact quote, but I like it.
RIP Mandela.

What a wonderful man, we'll never see his like again.
The guy was a hero.
It would make you laugh when you consider the mundane, insigificant things that some people worry and complain about these days..when you take Nelson Mandela's life into account, the absolute shit that guy had to put up with, physical, emotional, mental, not to mention the days of racism. The guy had an absoutely hellish time of it and came out the other side as a warm, genuine, caring, funny, legend of a man.
RIP Nelson Mandela you will be sorely missed.

Morgan Freeman must be seeing cash signs. Morgan Freeman should do his eulogy as if it was Shawshank Redemption.

Not a great shock, but sad nonetheless. Obama used one of his quotes which was something like,
"I'm not a saint unless you think a saint is a sinner who keeps on trying".
Whatever it was I thought it was fantastic.

What's it like in South Africa at the moment Jay? The sadness over here is tangible. I don't think I've ever experienced this sort of thing before. Every one of the twelve different ethnicities are in absolute mourning. It'll be said to death, but the Father of our country has left us. R.I.P big man, one of the greatest humanitarians that the world will ever see - as a white male having grown up in the post-apartheid era, he made us all proud and able to be South African. The guilt-ridden years of our parents (which 99% had nothing to do with), which many thought would culminate in mass genocide as is common on the dark continent, never materialized because of him - I for one cannot be more thankful as, quite frankly, I'd not be here today if it wasn't for him.

This is probably the post of the year...or of any year tbh.
