Not a word in the German press/media and no comments about Bayern or contract discussions. Kroos is ensconced in the German national team's quarters in the Tyrol. I would be very surprised if he is openly trading while under national service. If he's found out he might be lynched!! My concern about these stories is they ignore an important part of the equation. He has a very young child and a life partner who may at this stage not want the pressures of a move. Also, having been a major part of the Bayern double will he really be allowed to go for £20m? This all smells a bit like a replay of January's speculations.

I didn't believe a thing until I saw the comments that their new president made to Kicker about not having improved their offer to Kroos and them waiting on him now. Apparently Pep wants him to stay, but they're not offering him an improved contract befitting of what he wants. He goes on to mention Ballack's exit as a reference and that they'll not back down financially etc.

I'm sure Toni's trebled wages would make the situation easier to handle!

I think the best chance to get Kroos or any other German players will be if the national team does badly in Brazil. If the press turn on them, then they might leave. It's all very lovey-dovey at the moment.

It's all very lovey-dovey at the moment. I think this deal is on the cards to be honest. Though how many midfielders of his type do we need?. We have mata, kagawa and rooney who all prefer that position. He's not a central midfield player really. He's talented but I think Mata will prove his worth next season and he can play that role. I wish the club would go and sign real midfield players.

"The reason I compare Dinho and Kroos is because if I were to compare for example their first touch, or their passing range, or their mobility, or their pace, or their tackling ability, or their strength or their stamina, in pretty much every department Dinho comes out on top. " From Bluemoon, always good for a laugh I won't disagree about tackling or pace, but if we were on about first touch, passing / passing range, creativity, vision, set pieces, shooting, technique...

There is nothing about this out there and hasn't been all the time its been running. On Saturday he sounded quite pleased with his performance for Bayern and gave no indications of wanting to leave. Remember this guy has made noises before but at the moment absolutely Nothing!

Hopfner told Kicker that "there are certainly more talks [to be had with Kroos]… the player has to say what he wants." He added that there are "certain financial limitations that cannot be exceeded."
Sounds like it matches up with whats being reported.

Clark Whitney @mr_Bundesliga 8m
Rummenigge on Kroos, via Bild: "I believe that he will go. Because if you don't extend the contract after six months, you never will"
Clark Whitney @mr_Bundesliga 5m
IMO: Kroos wanted ~€8m in Jan. Bayern wanted to make an example w/ wage bill skyrocketing, refused. MUFC offered ~€16m, TK's demands rose
THE GIF CARB!
FOR GOD'S SAKE THE GIF!!!!
