www.bild.de/sport/fussball/toni-kroos/bayern-boss-droht-ihm-36083576.bild.htmlGoogle translate; Now the new Bayern president Karl Hopfner expressed (61) in the "kicker": "When Michael Ballack was just as, and at some point we have withdrawn the offer." Review: 2005 Bavaria fought the long question, that the then captain of the German national team extended his contract. Bayern's board chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge then to BILD: "I believe that he is going. Because if you can not make it in six months, to extend the contract, then you will not make it even after that. " After months of stalemate the German record champions then had enough and withdrew his offer. In summer 2006, Ballack moved to Chelsea. The case Ballack Repeats now also in the case Kroos? Big difference: Unlike Ballack, who left Bayern in the dark, Kroos has played with open cards. Earlier this year, he rejected the offer of his club to extend the contract. Hopfner restricts the "kicker", however, a matter that it is absolutely give further discussions with Toni Kroos: "Kroos has a contract until 2015 There are certainly more calls.. At some point the players have to say what he wants. I accept safe from Uli (Hoeness, ed.): Certain financial limitations we will not exceed more ".

Was just about to post that.
The fuck though? Seems out of no-where with that opinion. Got an indication from inside the club? Perhaps pressuring Kroos' people into a decision?

Clark Whitney @mr_Bundesliga 8m Rummenigge on Kroos, via Bild: "I believe that he will go. Because if you don't extend the contract after six months, you never will" Clark Whitney @mr_Bundesliga 5m IMO: Kroos wanted ~€8m in Jan. Bayern wanted to make an example w/ wage bill skyrocketing, refused. MUFC offered ~€16m, TK's demands rose THE GIF CARB! FOR GOD'S SAKE THE GIF!!!!

Mike Keegan (MEN)
Mike Keegan @mikekeeganmen 7m
Without wanting to ruin anyone's chips, led to believe that while Kroos was on the old list he does not feature on the new one. #mufc
--------
Either this is a major bluff from the club to force a move, or there's some extremely average journalism at work here. MEN literally said last night that a deal is close. Are you telling me LVG approved targets last week with Giggs, we went ahead with them and he suddenly (from Holland) phoned us up and was like "ooooooh Kroos, no I don't want him, we have Cleverley, pull the plug."
Either that or the club have decided to kill the dreams prematurely as they realized (or were informed) he's intending to sign a new deal, potentially putting Ed in a very bad light.
Sad, but we move on, it was always a tough target.

Who the fuck knows what's happening, either way it's no surprise that it's playing out this way. Great player is Kroos but maybe his lack of pace / mobility (?) is one of the reasons LvG wants to look at other targets?

Don't get the negativity? There have been no quotes anywhere from anyone about if we are interested or not interested.

I can't keep up with this shit. In the space of 12 hours we've clinched Kroos and then apparently LvG has backed out of the deal.
The only positive point about this is that in the articles claiming the latter there is not one single quote so it just sounds like they are hedging their bets so they can say they were right if he doesnt sign.
On the flip side of that no particular quotes of any substance in the Express/Mail/MEN articles saying £20 mil deal agreed. Just the odd quote saying that Bayern will not up their contract offer.
This is worse than the Fabregas bollocks last summer. At least with that we never really thought it could happen.
Really beginining to hate this summer and we've only had a gaffer on deck for a week.
Really wish I could stop getting myself involved. But have a problem methinks so i'm helpless to stop myself
Fuck it i've a long weekend off work so gonna watch X-Men this after and start getting wankered early

Surprise surprise interest has died, according to another rag. Papers so enjoy wind-ups in the silly season. My thoughts are with you Dedrevil....
