I hate the dippers more than I can say on here without being banned. But in all fairness sterling is the best young player in Europe right now. I couldn't believe when a mate told me the other day he is only 19. No doubt that he is very good, but to say that he is the best teenager in Europe is a bit too much mate. You need not look much further than a certain lad named Adnan Januzaj. We will hear a lot in future. Only time will tell. Oh I agree 100% mate. But what Im saying is this. Is there a better 19 year old in European football that is currently having the impact that sterling is having? Im not so sure. I admit My thorough knowledge of the other major leagues limited but sterling has been phenomenal for the dippers and England. I don't like anything about him or his scyum club but I always try to be honest in these debates.

I don't think so. Do you avidly follow the German, Spanish and Italian leagues? And even the Portuguese league ? Because I am sure there are at least 5-6 players in these leagues who can compete with the dipper lad for that title. I agree Sterling is the best teenager in England right now though. I am wide open to debate. Name names? i know there's a lot of talk in germany about max meyer. also deulofeu. also marquinhos at PSG. hard to say given that the most i see is sterling in the PL or for england.

Is Pogba classed as 'young' for the purposes of this? Because if he is he's the best by an absolute mile. Sadly. Good point. But Im thinking of the best teenager currently in Europe.

Problem is Adnan has to play (and I mean start) regularly to develop into world class - Sterling is first name on the teamsheet for club AND country at the same age IMO

Adnan has the potential to be a better (all round) player than Sterling, but as WWU said, on impact and influence at the moment, Sterling has to be ahead, but he's had more of a chance to show his worth, but also, in the long run, that will probably be to his detriment, especially with him being English and the next 'saviour' of our national game.
Burn't out and hammies gone by 25

The dippers are a feeder club.

Sterling is unquestionable a talent, but to say he is the best youngster in Europe is rubbish. He only gets so much damn spotlight because he plays for the Kopshites... I have even heard kopshites talk about how sterling is better than messi.. its just typical scouse bollocks.
Granted given time he "might" be able to get to Messi level where as our Adnan will or end being as good as Ronaldo. Then you argue who is better Messi V Ronaldo or Sterling V Adnan
I know where my loyalty lays!

I don't think he's the best youngster in Europe, I don't watch enough of the other leagues to make that claim, you will also find United fans who claim Januzaj is the best player at his age ever, so the Dippers aren't on their own there They are both primed for stardom, if they apply themselves correctly/coached properly, however, imo, Sterling is ahead of Adnan at the moment, for reasons I outlined up there ^^ a few posts ago. It's a nice debate to have, and given time, Januzaj will hopefully be the better player, for a longer period of time, I believe he will

You might also want to checkout Firmino of Hoffenheim.

If we didn't have Mata and on the look out for a No 10, he'd my pick by far.. Only Scolari will know why neither he, Coutinho nor Moura were not even in the WC squad.
