Aye. I saw only a couple of games but my word he was something else! If we didn't have Mata and on the look out for a No 10, he'd my pick by far.. Only Scolari will know why neither he, Coutinho nor Moura were not even in the WC squad. because brazil these days are functional rather than spectacular. i blame dunga. giving the brazil top job to a water carrier, what were they thinking!? Functioned so darn well against Germany innit?

I found it sad that Brazil were forced to kick their way into the semi - what happened to them was Karma

I hate the dippers more than I can say on here without being banned. But in all fairness sterling is the best young player in Europe right now. I couldn't believe when a mate told me the other day he is only 19. I read in the paper this morning that 2010 is the first World Cup he can remember. Half of fucking One Direction would feel old reading that.

We all have our opinions on how good sterling is or isn't. I think he is pure class and is getting better. The fact that he plays for the dippers wont change my view on that. I appreciate the names above but the way sterling played last season in the most competitive league in the world has him above any 19 year old in Europe currently in my opinion.

Stop it. Stop it right now.
Sterling is good but there are plenty of teenagers across Europe who are at least as good. Meyer and Draxler to name couple from the same team, nevermind League.

I would literally pay so much more money for Kagawa as opposed to Rooney, how the fcuk is this guy United and England captain? It literally makes me feel like everyone's gone mental. Could it be that he's the only "experienced" player left after the Scholes, Gerrard, Rio era people all retired? I really don't know what it is. Yesterday, for the only time in my life, I found myself agreeing with Joey fucking Barton. He said a couple of days ago that England's coaching system is fucking broken and that they have ended up with this lamentable squad since the passing of the Scholes era generation is down to the abysmal and clueless way English players are managed at club level and the hype around them when they are young. Being forced into agreeing with Joey Barton Doesn't that fit into a category of "Cruel and Unusual" punishment?? Ought to be some kinda actionable suit that could be formed from something like that. Just an observation after tonight's game. I have been very critical of Bambi or Welbz in the past for his scattergun finishing. But I stand by the point I made about his move to the Arse- that Wenger would take his raw, technical quality and make him a better player. Watching him tonight took me back to when another pacy wingeresque player arrived at Highbury in 99-00, and what he became when he left seven years later under Wenger's tutelage. Now Welbeck is no Henry, but I have no doubt that Wenger will be able to iron out his rough edges and he may become devastating under him, and it is bloody frustrating that he could not have developed the same way under us. A missed opportunity maybe? We will see how this pans out. If he is as successful as old Terry Henry, 16m suddenly appears like theft on Arsenal's part, who signed the Frenchman for 11m.

He's getting nowhere near Henry

Past couple years it looked like if Dano could back himself off of full throttle about half a step and play with his head up he could be a devastating force. Playing for United it felt like his first job was to fly about and perhaps draw defenders away from the center of box and open it up. Goals he did get were more like accidents than something looking like set play or a well executed breakaway. He has been totally different player for England.
I think that by end of this season he'll look a totally different player than when he transferred, most improved in league

So it seems everyone rates Welbeck a lot higher than Cleverley because no ones said two words about him leaving.

How about us leaving Berbatov on the bench so Mickey Owen could play in the Champions League final?
