He's right, he's been given a disgraceful beating from our own supporters. I'm ashamed of the fuckwits on Twitter who celebrated him leaving and everything before that. What ever happened to the 'United' in United. Tom really was one of us, and now he feels like he could never play for us again. Shameful. I agree with this. Whatever I thought of him as a player, I never once abused him from the stands and the people that did are absolute morons. At the risk of incurring the wrath of many here I feel the same about Tree. However awful he undeniably is, he doesn't deserve to be subjected to the kind of jeering which some idiots think is clever or 'ironic'. Whether it is Cleverly, Treebeard or Anderson who play, when they pull on that venerated shirt they are part of our side and we hand the opposition an unnecessary advantage by lambasting them.

I refuse to give Fuhlaini anything but abuse... 1) he's shit 2) he's the last remains of the previous management 3) he's fucking shit 4) he's spent more time injured than he has playing

As far as last year was concerned though, the whole midfield was such a nondescript pile of phoo that I honestly had difficulty making a distinction between any of our cms in terms of their performance. For me it is self defeating to abuse any one of your own players from the stands. That's the only point I am making regarding this. Otherwise my thoughts on bloody Fellaini are well known.

Regardless of whether the player is shit, booing a player at home is disgusting.
Had a right laugh at some Gooner friends with the whole Eboue thing, regarding the perceived "class" of their support.
Not so much anymore. It was horrible seeing it happen, whilst he was actually having a decent game.

They're easy targets because they're not as good as Scholes or Keane or Butt, and fans pick up on that and blame them for a general malaise that's not their fault. Gibson's gone on and is carving a decent career at Everton and changing people's minds. Cleverley will do the same.

I don't rate Cleverley much, but I would never boo him or abuse him. Also, would never accept it in front of opposition supporters too, that I dont rate him. IMO Booing or abusing doesn't highlight a player's weakness, it just shows that YOU are mentally weak.

I greatly disliked Gibson - just gave of every indication that he wasn't willing to work on his game beyond pop-shotting anytime he got within 25 yards. The 'van der Saar vs Everton' incident did him for me. Never once did I bad-mouth him anywhere outside of United circles. Now, he's one of our lads as you say carving out a decent career elsewhere. I applaud him anytime he comes back to OT.

Yeah, there was a general consensus that he wasn't good enough for us, but that's nothing to be ashamed of, TBH, better players have fared just as badly as Daron did in United shirt. It just irks me that it's the kids from the Youth Setup that get the vitriol. Richardson, he was shit though, O'Shea, Gibson, Cleverley and Welbeck to name a few, when other 'bigger' names get away with it week-on-week. And not just Rooney. Nani's had stinkers, Valencia's been bobbins for 18 months, RvP has on occasion been neither use nor ornament. Vidic had a shocker last season too. And all got away with it less than Danny Welbz, who actually scored goals that won us games in our stickiest periods and looked like he gave a shit, and Cleverley who was lambasted by a manager for daring to get ahead of the ball, which y'know, is his natural game.

I would never boo a UTD player. As a player I could never see what some of you guys saw in cleverly. He was never UTD quality. This is my opinion of course and LVG thinks the same. Sad that the pressure got to the lad and the abuse was not called for. I would also say that a lot of the bile Rooney gets is way way over the top. The fact he asked for a transfer twice does not warrant the abuse. The fact that he doesn't play well certainly is on the table for discussion. LVG is a breath of fresh air in how he is dealing with the "nice" guys in the squad. Performances are all that matter.

I do agree that the bought players do tend to get away with a lot more bad performances than the academy lads - maybe it's the need to justify the fee that they get more slack Nani has had about 4 good games in 7 years yet people still think he's potential world class - Valencia has had a confidence bypass and people still think he should be first choice winger or right back I'm sure LVG has got the balls to replace an underperforming player with a kid if necessary whatever their reputation

Ronaldo asked to go to Real, and he's still adored. It's the way Rooney went about it. Criticising the squad, that won the league and got to a CL Final BTW, and the general direction of the team under SAF. It's then having your agent leak to the media it's your major, nouveau-riche cross-city rivals you're looking to leave for. That's why Wayne gets abuse.

I can get over this . I cant get over his performances on the pitch and how they have declined. This is what matters to me the most. I don't judge a player on how much he loves our club. I judge a player on how he is contributing to the team. If Rooney really wanted out he would have fucked off long ago. Average players that adore Manchester United don't do it for me.

We seem to praise the kids to the hilt when in the U 21s and give them a grace period once they break through but as soon as the realisation sets in that they probably won't be Best or Stam or Robson then twats in the (vocal) minority jump all over them. You'd wonder how long Tyler will get before some of the goons turn on him? Wilson?

Tom was the recipient of so much abuse outside of Old Trafford, what with the petition and everything, so United fans should have been taking the exact opposite stance. Booing your own players is just shit. I fucking hate Rooney with a passion but would never boo him. Throw up in my mouth a bit everytime he touches the ball maybe, but never boo.
