If you take it from Russia over the Crimea, then the UK wouldn't have the right either, the invasion of Iraq without international agreement is the same thing. I wouldn't want the World Cup if it meant bending over back ways for a tournament where they have no rights to apply any kind of taxation against Fifa. The process of choosing these host countries is clearly corrupt. Australia obtained 1 vote in the vote last time. They have never hosted a world cup and they have all the infrastructure you'll ever need. No country makes enough revenue to justify the outlay from the public purse. Brazil spent over $6bn on stadiums and hosted the best world cup since 86 and 80% of the population still live in shacks on a hillside. Does that country sound like it benefited

Even a blind man can see Russia and Qatar winning the bids was as bent as a nine bob note - only people that don't see it are FIFAs "ethics" committee

Rats leaving a sinking ship eh??
Good, Blatter might well be the one "creature" on earth that a scouser can look down on. Lines his pocket, pulls crap anyone else would be jailed for, and laughs at the rest of the world.

This is even more startling than I thought.

The videos are each like 6-10 mins long so you can take your time and go through it.
They've managed to interview some central folks that have worked very close to Blatter and, whilst the public is convinced he's corrupt, I wasn't exactly sure how he's maintained his position for so long.

the only thing surprising about that documentary is that they actually thought the top Eel would have spoken with them. was NEVER gonna happen, that man cant handle any form of insightful enquiry.

He managed to hold onto power the same way so many despot's do: through wealth, intimidation and ruthlessness. I suspect you can see parallels between Mugabe, the Jong-Un's and so many others that have come to prominence in the last 50 years with how good ole Sepp has run FIFA (in every sense except extra-judicial the killings that is). To be honest, as I've gotten older, I have steadily fallen out of love with aspects of the World's Game. I am so much more focused on my club, rather than the international side of things. Sure i'll watch the WC, but I do it for the spectacle not so much for the love. This FIFA chicanery has really turned me into a cynic, I absolutely hate what it has become, but alas I cant escape it.

Not only that, but the entire basis of the organisation, where the voting weighs the same for a country with a population of 6, 000 than for, say, the USA - it's a recipe for disaster as the large majority of countries aren't filthy rich and his spending of billions in these countries using (NON-PROFIT) FIFA money makes it obvious he'd consistently get re-elected.
What a joke.
