Two emotions. True legend of a player. Farewell Giggsy, his contribution on the pitch has been phenomenal. Especially when there was a contract renewal coming. vs. Wretched, belief-shaking, snake of a man. Good riddance. And enjoy your punditry career because I can't see him as a manager. It's a shame to see him go, but I'm not in tears as I was when Fergie left. " Especially when there was a contract renewal coming" You can't mean that Bestie can you? I mean from what you have said your around 30? Surely Giggs has been a constant in your united years? About 50/50 tongue in cheek. When I was a kid he was a constant and consistently brilliant. When I was older, he wasn't.

My very first game at Old Trafford was watching an 18 year old Giggs score two goals in a minute to beat Southampton, all in the year we won our first Premier League trophy. He was a legend to me as a player, but as a realist, there was no way I could accept him as manager now. If he goes and proves himself, then I would welcome him back in the future, but he helped to turn this club into one that cannot afford to take those kind of risks anymore.

Would have loves to have been at that game.

Meh. He had to do it. Legend of a player. Twat of a man. Go away, do some management, sort your personal shit and maybe someday, you can take over.
All the best.

www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/man-utd-news-giggs-mourinho-11375725#ICID=sharebar_twitterRyan Giggs declined his role to remain at Manchester United under Jose Mourinho since he wanted a 'gold-plated guarantee' he would replace the Portuguese as the club's next manager. M.E.N. Sport understands Giggs conceded he was not the suitable choice to directly succeed Louis van Gaal, since he recognised United required experience to oversee the team's recovery, and he was braced for Mourinho's appointment as early as April. Giggs then ended his 29-year association with United after he was offered a 'downgraded' role which would have seen him cut from Mourinho's matchday staff. Mourinho had planned to have a meeting with Giggs but United maintained they would not put pressure on the 42-year-old, who has decided to depart United with Louis van Gaal and his Dutch coaching staff. Mourinho was said to have earmarked City coach Brian Kidd as an option to vacate Giggs' planned role under the new structure but the Blues insisted Kidd was 'going nowhere'. Giggs left United's Carrington training ground early on the morning Van Gaal's sacking was confirmed and headed to his restaurant George's in Worsley, where he was described as 'having a face like thunder'. One source claimed Giggs said his goodbyes to groundsmen at United's training complex before he left the premises and the club has now confirmed his departure 40 days later.
