Still can't believe he absolutely flapped a job interview and wasn't offered the job so he came out and said their ambitions didn't match his.
Also not sure if anyone has posted this elsewhere but Savage has responded to a lot of the people who disagreed with his article including F365, it's pretty much the equivalent of him sticking his fingers in his ear and going la la la la
(I'll post the article cos he doesn't deserve the clicks)
www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/robbie-savage-responds-criticism-ryan-9035868obbie Savage's Mirror Sport column about Ryan Giggs missing out on the Swansea City manager's job generated an unprecedented response among his 1.72 million Twitter followers.
Love it or hate it, agree with him or disagree with him, Savage has become football's must-read column every week.
And although he cannot answer every piece of correspondence personally, here – in the first of a weekly sift through his online postbag and timelines – Sav answers some of your fan mail...
ITV SportRyan Giggs failed to land the Swansea job
@swansforever – You only want Giggs to get the job as he is your mate!
SAV SAYS: “Nonsense – I was concerned about the message it sends out to young British managers who fit the profile of clubs like Swansea getting a chance to manage in the Premier League. I would have liked to see someone like Gary Rowett, who has done a terrific job at Birmingham, being linked with the job as well, but I don't think he was even in the frame.”
SAVAGE COLUMN: Swansea's Ryan Giggs snub is bad for young managers and it's NONSENSE if he missed out due to interview
@meago82 – It's a terrible read, if you don't interview well, why should you get the job?
SAV SAYS: “Glad you enjoyed it, but interview technique is only a tiny part of becoming a manager. Surely it's more important to know the club and have a sound knowledge of the game, a clear tactical blueprint and the respect of the players. Steve McClaren obviously interviews well because they gave him his old job back at Derby, but ultimately he will be judged by results on the pitch, not how much he impressed the board with his chat.”

@thomas_reece – All this from Savage is purely because he's Welsh! Get over it, he didn't get the job Robbie!!
SAV SAYS: “Nationality has absolutely nothing to do with it. I would have been just as frustrated if Rio Ferdinand or David Beckham had been interviewed and then rejected by Swansea – and please don't tell me those two know nothing about football. I believe Ryan Giggs should have been given that opportunity, and I don't care whether he comes from Wales or outer space. It's insulting to suggest I'm only on his side because he's Welsh.”
@greaney_michael - This is just a hair thing Robbie isn't it?
SAV SAYS: “Not sure we're on the same page here, pal. Have a good week.”
@stuart_gfc – Savage doesn't believe the half of what he says and writes.
SAV SAYS: “Wrong. You're just plain wrong, Stuart. The day I put my name to opinions I don't actually believe is the day I'm out of here. FYI, every single piece that I contribute for the Daily Mirror, every single opinion I express on the air as a pundit, I believe 100 per cent. I might be wrong, you might not agree with me, but I believe them. Luckily, people in the game I know and trust believe that to be the case.”
@wersty2018 – Because I ate a burger doesn't mean I can run McDonalds.
SAV SAYS: “Some of the analogies being applied to Giggs and Swansea are a bit far-fetched. If you want a parallel, I would describe Giggs as a junior doctor who has sat in on 1,000 heart bypass operations and now he's ready to perform one himself. A lot of people on Twitter have been telling me he should start as a manager in League One or League Two, but how many games has he been involved in at that level? To me, that's like training him to be a heart surgeon and then asking him to remove an appendix or kidney stones."
@jonpaulfong – So bad it's embarrassing actually feel sorry for you.
SAV SAYS: “Don't feel sorry for me, mate. What is embarrassing is the suggestion that I said Giggs was entitled to a job in the Premier League. Where did I say that? Don't forget, as Giggs himself confirmed, he didn't apply for the Swansea job as such – they rang him. When someone rings you up and asks if you're interested in a post, it normally means they are seriously considering you as the right man for the job. And a lot of people in football would have been pleased to see Giggs get it – because he is held in very high esteem in the game for everything he has achieved. How it is embarrassing for me to venture an opinion that he deserved the opportunity to manage Swansea? Don't feel sorry for me – I'll be fine.
AND FINALLY...
SAV SAYS: “On the Football365 website, they revealed: 'We don't normally do a Media Watch on weekends. It's too time-consuming.' But in response to my Mirror Sport column about Giggs and Swansea, they made an exception.
“Well, most of us in football work every Saturday and Sunday, because that's when a lot of football matches are played, so welcome to the party. The fact that you felt exercised into doing a special column about me, picking apart my views virtually word-by-word, is actually a great compliment, so thanks for that.
“If people disagree with my opinions, that's fine. Where I draw the line is when established websites retweet falsehoods, lies and sheer abuse, trying to goad me into reacting, and turning a fair exchange of opinions into a systematic hate campaign to generate online traffic.”
