Ancelotti certainly ain't the answer. He can't build a squad to save his life. He is used to inheriting ready made squads. Ours still needs work. And we should be looking long term, not short term in the hope that Giggs has the future ability to take over. i get this. but i also get the impression you haven't ruled out the possibility of him taking over at some point in the distant future. what surprises me is the sentiment which suggests he should never be manager. i just dont understand where that comes from. i certainly didnt see anything in his short stint as manager to suggest he would be horrible at it, and thus im not inclined to say he should never take over the hot seat. i agree right now is not the time, but some day, once the requisite experience has been gained, why not give him a real go at it?

Nope. If he has earnt it. Taking over from Moyes was a different kettle of fish to being given it permanently. If he goes off and gets managerial experience elsewhere, away from the comfort zone of being a club legend, etc, & he shows he has what it takes then by all means. Its all conjecture tho. He could get run over by a bus tomorrow. Whatever happens in the future happens, but he should be nowhere near the job permanently anytime soon.

What if Giggs was to take over next year & he started Januzaj, perreira, Wilson, Linagrd, Mata, Herrera & concentrated on youth & attacking football. Would everyone just say win the league or else or would they just love to see this & be greatful? What would Giggs have to do for people to be glad he was hired. Would it just be a case of win the League & then the Champions League?

Whatever happens, manager change, players retire or change, only thing to do is bitch here and among other United Supporters and continue to support the club everywhere else, and most especially to continue to despise and revile anything scouse. Nothing else for a United supporter to do is there?

Giggs should get experience first. Klopp next would be good. I'd be happy with Ancelotti too. My first choice would be Simeone - best in the world IMO - if he could play a more attacking atyle, which I think he can (he did at home vs. Chelsea in the CL for example). But even his defensive stuff is good to watch because they press well and are so lethal on the counter - something we should be good at really.

We'd all love to see Giggs mange the club, but whether he's ready or not is anybody's guess. It really would be heartbreaking for him to get the job and have it not go well. Him getting some experience as a manager first may be the way to go.

Get on board.

I would rather Giggs be manager and give the youth a proper chance whom he's worked with and knows well and United go back to their traditions than have van Gaal destroy the whole fabric in short-term desperation just to get beyond 4th spot.
I'd happily not make top 4 if United went back to their former traditions and started properly re-building for the long-term with Giggs and Scholes on board. How many Manchester lads do we have left in our squad? Lingard is from Warrington.

Giggs seemed to be more worried about giving his mates game time, even though our season was over. As for destroying the "whole fabric", how has he done that?

I think Giggs played Everyone in the first team didn't he? Also gave debut's to Larence and Wilson.
