Exaggeration much? It was a mistake yes but look how he responded and played the rest of the match. I thought he looked shaky every time Bale ran at him with the ball to be honest. I'm not saying he's shit, he's a young lad and it would have been a cracking experience for him. This is an exaggeration... Cleverley is better than 2 x Christiano Ronaldo's!! Yeah I agree. And Blackett looks awesome sometimes but very average against Roma. That's young players for you. |

I've got no idea if he's a good player or not. Did play in the world cup final and made it into a lot of team og the tournaments. Plus LVG shoukd of had a good look at him when they played in the semi's

Rojo is solid, not awe-inspiring but he should get the job done. I reckon we need someone a bit more experienced, Jones is still young and the rest of the young players coming through really do look like great prospects. I think we missed out massively on Garay. Hummels is/was a pipe-dream. Amen Abdenour is someone who seemed interesting but I see he has just signed with Monaco. If Woodward really had balls though he would have gone and one upped PSG with a 60 million bid for Tiago Silva.

I thought Francisco Rodriguez the Mexican CB held his team together put on quite a performance almost single handed during the WC. He had agreat game against Brazil and kept Neymar limited. At 32 or so he is older than most but looked hardy and tough. I also thought the Algerian defenders didn't do too badly against Germany during normal time. I also think we should look to our lower divisions to see if there is another Brucie..

With Rojo deal done, I dont expect any addition to the defence. Though we needed a solid CB Leader, I think we are done with the defence in this summer.

I really hope LvG identified Rojo as a great addition to his defense setup and not as a acquisition born out of desperation, but can't for the life of me understand why didn't we go for proven players in his system like De Vrij and Blind. Instead we got a guy with a serious attitude, capable of producing career threatening injuries and a disciplinary record of one yellow in every two matches or so. De Vrij's cost was also at least half of what we will pay for Rojo ... I really hope the lad eventually turns out good for us, but something tells me that wont be the case.
