Watching him now. Didn't expect much since you know, he is only a DM.
But in 20 minutes I've seen incredible calmness and ball retention. Also three times so far he has gone in for a well timed tackle which he wouldn't have been expected to go for, kept the ball then spotted a nice forward pass. Nothing audacious but 100%, to the point exactly what we need. Would tick every box.
I might stop watching.

He wins the ball and -- boom -- the ball is played forward quickly. |

I have been watching for 3 minutes.
Carvalho has made two excellent tackles and also tricked his way past two Benfica players tight on the touchline in that time. Maybe I'm just seeing how good he is exaggerated because we should be signing him, but really why aren't we signing him?

I just read that united scouts were at that game this evening? Anyone here anything? I was very impressed with him this evening and it got me thinking that he would be a better option then vidal because he is younger and also he dont have any serious injuries in his past, but vidal has the experience and is better at going forward,,
