Would Atletico sell to Real?
For the right price I'm sure they would, but equally sure they'd pimp him around to us, and the rich whore clubs first.

Personally im going to draw a line underneath it and rule us out, I don't think we have the financial power to lure him away from city or Chelsea. Why do you think that? We are in much better financial positions than City and Chelsea. If anyone can afford to pay £40m and £150k/w in wages it's us. Realistically I think all three of us could spend that if we wanted, but gone are the days of the likes of them spending £100m+ every season. Over the next few seasons people will eat their words who have laughed at us due to our debt, we'll be the ones who are able to spend considerable amounts of money every season.

We are one of only 5/6 clubs within the FFP rules in England. Chelsea are close. City are nowhere near.

So how does Falcao differ to Rooney or Van Persie? Why should we be in for him?

Not really. How many strikers can you fit into one squad? Other areas of the team need improving. So you wouldn't want a quality player like Falcao at OT? What if Kompany became available? We don't need centre halves, but we should be inquiring, even if we're kindly told to piss of. I want quality players a OT just not anymore strikers. If we buy more strikers it means Kagawa on the wing again next season, which is a waste.

I can guarantee you now he wont get 30 goals in a season with our squad.
As I've said previously, we're getting all excited at the thought of Falcao coming to us (dont get me wrong I'd love him there aswell). But look at RvP, his goal's dried up because he wasn't getting any service around him.
The same will happen even if we had Falcao, this is why we should be concentrating on the Midfield and the wingers situation, theres no point having 2 world class strikers in the box when he have complete shit trying to feel the ball to them getting nowhere.

Hear this out for a second.
Falcao in. Rooney leaves. Rooney is no longer there to be considered an option for midfield.
Might we buy a midfielder then?

If Scholes & Anderson go, possibly.

I can guarantee you now he wont get 30 goals in a season with our squad. How on earth do you come up with that conclusion? There is every chance he'd bang in 30 goals. He's the best #9 in the world. RvP is involved in the build up play a lot more, hence the assists he has, Falcao on the other hand is purely a goal machine. Like a huge upgrade on Hernandez.

I hope Rooney, Scholes and Anderson stay.
None of them have to leave for us to sign a new striker, midfielder or defender for that matter. Or even a new goalie.
The only players I would be comfortable with leaving are Macheda and Bebe, and maybe Ashley Young.

Bestie you now are officially in Cuckoo land, whether we sell Rooney or not buying a Mid is still a long way off cos we have Carrick , Giggs has another year and we are not sure Ando will be sold , Scholes is still Uncertain and we don't play Clevs or Powell . The chances of us getting one is very very remote , hence the need to have rooney rather than buy Falcao. Rooney plays more like 3 players in one , he is there defense , in Midfield and on the wings apart from playing as a striker. No matter how exciting it is getting a new player( A talented one that too) it will leave a massive hole cos we play quite differently when roondog isn't playing

The only players I would be comfortable with leaving are Macheda and Bebe, and maybe Ashley Young. Agree with Rooney, Scholes will retire either at the end of the season or possibly next season which I'll be sad to see. Anderson has had too many chances now to try and cement a place, he's too injury prone. Young hasn't reached the standard he should have which is a shame because I've wanted us to sign him since he played for Watford. Don't even know why were still paying Macheda and Bebe, they are never going to be considered for the first team, So if we had to get rid of anyone for me it's Out Nani Ando Bebe Young Macheda In (any of these not necessarily all of them, would be nice though) Strootman Bale Falcao (if we sort our midfield out aswell) Gotze Subotic
