I still maintain, despite my hatred for him, that Rooney was one of the most exciting youngsters I've ever seen. His love of playing football spilled out onto the pitch like it was his canvas. Last of the great street footballers according to Moyes. There's none of that left now.
He cracked a volley against Boro in his first season here similar to how he should have hit the one in this game.
