It seems to me, that the other thread here is mainly about players in. For me, it is also interesting to see who LvG is shipping away. I hope Adnan is going on loan, the same goes for Blackett. I hope Lindegaard finds himself a new club, his future is not with us. As Fletcher, I don't hope he is leaving. We lost Rio, Vida and Evra in the summer. I think Fletcher can contribute in terms of expirience. He has not played well, but I think we should keep him, if he is okay with it.

Maybe stay in a coaching facility if one available but his day's are over playing wise too me. He served us well but that illness he had has knocked him bad. Even playing for Scotland again will be a question mark. Sad but there you go.

Said it before but Fletch deserves a coaching role - maybe as player/coach/captain for the U21s Ando, Nani, Clev, Smalling, Evans, RVP, Young and Valencia are not United standard anymore (due to declining quality or too many injuries) and considering they can easily be replaced with the supposed £200M we have to spend (plus whatever pennies we can get for those listed) Lindy and Amos look like they are on their way but we have Valdes, Pereira and Johnstone as backup The likes of Rafa, Jonesy, Zaha and Nick Powell should be given one more season to prove they merit a place in the squad Adnan needs to go out on loan to get a full season under his belt otherwise we may as well cash in on him now as he'll never get anywhere near his potential sitting on the bench Obviously we need to ditch the 3-5-2 and get a bit more quality at the back (top class right back and centre half needed) Would love to see the end of Rooney but there are many reasons why he won't go - too close to Sir Bobby's record, massive wages no one else will take on and his commercial/ marketing value to the club

I'm bewixt n'between over Fletcher. He still makes the bench so he can't be all that bad. If he was given a couple of games we could really see if he's done or not. His few cameo moments have given no indication of his status.

That could work on Football Manager. But for me, we got to keep the relations. I can't bare the thought of seeing Roo in another jersey. He may be over the top, but him playing against us is a terrible feeling. One of our most important person. His mentality is great, his work rate is great, and he will surely come good again. Two of our best matches this season came without a single one of Van Gaals new signings. I can agree with Ando, Clev and Valencia or Rafael without a doubt. Nani I would like to be given a last chance if he continues to play good in Portugal. I also agree with letting Evans go, but I don't think we should rush Smalling out. RvP may go if he don't catch form before the summer. I don't think Powell has a future here, but Zaha can be good, especially if Young, Nani and Andy goes. I think Young can be a good backup, and a different player to Shaw if we continue with wingbacks. I don't find it obvious to ditch 3-5-2, but we need a better right wing back and a boss in central def.

I want to see all of the above leave:
Lindegaard Evans Fletcher Anderson (obviously) Powell (bad attitude it seems) Cleverly Young Nani
I'm humming and ha ing over Smalling, Fellaini and Zaha. Zaha seems to be another with the wrong attitude for us.
I know this is highly unlikely:
Rooney RVP
I know its a hell of an amount, however this doesn't have to be this year, it could even be over the course of the next two years. Either way, I think we do need to rebuild from the ground up. RVP doesnt have long left regardless, and Rooney is likely to pick up a major injury at the age he's coming into. I know that sounds terrible, however he is reckless with his body at times and hes no longer 21. If Wilson gets games and goes on a run of form then perhaps we wont need either, he offers us speed up front, which sadly we do not have at our disposal from the other three.
I reckon we won't take up the Falcao option, so it'll be Roo and RVP starting next year, but a boy can dream!

Anderson and Cleverly are no-brainers. Personally I'd wave Nani off too (because of his inconsistency).
Evans is a shadow of his former self and looks out of his depth, but Jones and Smalling have had injuries and an ever-changing rear-guard around them, so I'd be inclined to see how they go once they get a run in the team. Having said that, if suitable replacements are available I'd take them in a heart-beat.
Fellaini has proved there's a niche for him and won't be going anywhere and I doubt RVP will be moved on either, due to his relationship with the boss.

I was initially a big supporter of Fletcher but having seen his game time this season, he just looks pretty much at the end of his career. Or at least nowhere near the standard he set back in 2008. Totally understandable given his health struggles and the sheer amount of time out of the game. I'd love to see him moved into a coaching role or given one last hurrah at another solid club.
Definite ======
Fletcher Nani Cleverley Lindegaard - Needs to move for the good of his career Anderson
Maybe ====
Smalling Zaha Fellaini
Then there's numerous fringe players who I don't think will make it into first team regulars like Will Keane, Tom Thorpe, Marnick Vermijl, Ben Amos and possibly Nick Powell. All are good players but I don't think quite good enough for United or, in the case of Nick Powell, haven't shown the right attitude.

I haven't seen it anywhere but that doesn't mean much...I was rather hoping he had a future with us...

I was too but that game against MK Dons, he was just strutting around without a care in the world, putting in zero effort and just didn't look arsed. Not the sort of attitude you want from a youngster/fringe player supposedly hoping to break into the first team and make an impression.

I just don't get why these kids waste their talent - they can potentially earn millions a year while doing something they love and they are just not prepared to put the work in I'd give my left nut to be in their position The game is littered with promising kids who do their utmost to fuck things up for themselves United have always placed a great deal of stock in a kid's mental attributes before they are signed yet we seem to turn these kids into total wankers who think they are the next big thing without proving themselves - Richardson, Morrison and now Powell all spring to mind You'd think they would look around at the likes of Scholes, Giggs, Ronaldo etc and think "If I apply myself I could be like them"

Maybe he had the shits if he was forced into a loan move he didn't really want? No matter though, throwing your toys out of the pram is no way to behave and hardly likely to enhance your reputation and in turn, career progression. I'm old school, I can't take to these prima donna types. Time to move him on, if anyone will take him.

If you have the right attitude then a loan should be seen as an opportunity to impress...a lot of players have gone on loan and come back to be part of the first team...Becks went to Preston didn't he? This will be shocking waste of talent if he doesn't make it...he has all the attributes apart from, it would seem, the one you need between the ears...sad...
