I don't know why I always think it was in the last minute, just feels like it should of been. I was there that day. Everyone held their breath for the final 15 mins! I can imagine, must of went mental when that went in.

Each to their own, I would absolutely say though that you're a little guilty of being a bit of a revisionist when it comes to any of Rooney's finer moments. Not at all. His finish against AC Milan to make it 3-2 is one of my absolutely favourite United goals. He's scored much better ones than what is essentially a well timed fluke. It's a perfect microcosm for his career actually. Genuine quality somewhere in it (the confidence and technique to go for it), the spectacular visual, but when examined factually, a fluke.

I had to watch the game recorded, my Institute of Legal Studies entrance exam was rescheduled from December because of score so I couldn't go. When Rooney scored I didn't jump up, didn't even really celebrate. I've genuinely never known why.

Given your circumstances, it perhaps would have been far more appropriate if Rooney's overhead attempt had hit... 'the bar'?

Some of my favourites are from the early days of the premier league when I was still having to listed to games on the radio.
This is one I loved, we smashed them 5-0 (youtube says Sheff Utd when it's actually Sheff Wed). Not a "great" goal per se, just loved those "Have one of fuckin those" hits.

That Forlan goals vs Chelsea was a peach as well, was that Veron who set that up?

Man United fan travels all the way from Sierra Leone for first match - only to see the game called off
But the story had a happy ending after fellow fans saved the day by paying for his flight to be changed so he can go to Wembley for the FA Cup final
All that way! Moses came from Sierra Leone, only to see the match called off
A Manchester United fan who had travelled from Sierra Leone to watch the Red Devils in action for the first time was left distraught when his side's match against AFC Bournemouth was abandoned prior to kick-off.
However, big-hearted supporters saved the day, by paying for the man's flight to be changed so he can attend Saturday's FA Cup final at Wembley where United will take on Crystal Palace.
Today's scheduled fixture at Old Trafford was abandoned when a suspect package was discovered by a steward, initially forcing the evacuation of the Stretford End and Sir Alex Ferguson Stand.
The full stadium was then emptied as bomb disposal expert arrived, later concluding the device was a hoax.
Ian Stirling, vice-chair of the Manchester United Supporter's Trust, tweeted: "This is Moses. He came from Sierra Leone to watch his first match at Old Trafford. He's distraught."
Just minutes later, he added: "Update on Moses. We're paying for a change of flight date and he's going to Wembley!"
Stirling then added another picture of the supporter, adding: "Moses is a happy man. This is what being United is about."

OK.
Um, lets have a think.
FA Cup final coming up, been a while since we won it so that would be nice.
Summer time means new players coming in! (yes, doesn't it?)
Also means we can get rid of deadwood (just humour me, I'm trying).
Europa League is a chance for us to play our young lads, get them some game time against European opposition. McNair, Perreira, Wilson, Januzaj, TFM, CBJ. Got to help their game come on.
New manager! (please)
