Well done Ared88, great idea. I have stayed away from rom this year, but this thread might just bring me back. Good to have you back. Do we have to wake up to watch it tonight? Think it's on fox sports extra.

Reasons to be positive: Rojo to become another Vidic. McNair to be better than Neville. Wilson to be as prolific as Van Nistelrooy. Januzaj to be as good as Giggs. De Gea to stop for another 10 years. Giggs takes over from LVG next season and leads us to be Champions. A billionaire who loves the club buys it off the glazers and clears all debts, and doesnt syphon off money. The youth team produces one of a Schmeichel/Stam/Robson/Ronaldo/Cantona type player every year

Was about to make a similar comment...Giggs is not ready to take over, certainly not next season. We still need someone who could sort out the 'philosophy' and get us playing in an attractive attacking and winning way...they are not mutually exclusive surely?

Doubt any of it will come true.

Giggs taking over isn't any wish I'd like to see fulfilled.

Giggs taking over isn't any wish I'd like to see fulfilled. The OT suits may not be aware of your wish.

Been guilty of negativity in a few posts and I like the spirit behind this thread. A lot of my points have been covered but here goes:
- We looked way off without a hope last season- we've got a seriously talented squad now and are a couple of tweaks and a signing or two away from being pretty f*cking scary.
- Daley Blind
- Ashley Young's renaissance
- Wilson looks a quality player and compared to a lot of young, exciting, speedy players actually looks to have a finishing touch about him.
- McNair looks like he's got some serious heart. Kid's confidence took a battering vs. So'ton away and he's back really strong.
- Despite playing some boring football, we've shown a resilience through 90 mins that seemed to be missing last season. This will be key in the battle for CL places that we have on our hands.

The tram strike is called off tonight meaning no faffing around on the way to OT.
More positivity. Everything's coming up Millhouse!

Positives for me this season include;
- Daley Blind's beautiful hair - Mata's stylishly cropped facial foliage - McNair destroying Wilshire's ankle - Helping along the inevitable relegation of QPR - Ashley Young actually turning out to be a decent wing back - Me somehow landing a commercial box for the upcoming United vs Newcastle game (I'm kind of a big deal, people know me)

Sadly not, it's with my old work colleagues who have been given the tickets by their external I.T support company, who also provide I.T support to Newcastle and Sunderland football clubs. Rather convoluted. So I'll be in a commercial box at the Sports Direct Ashley Arena with a bunch of Newcastle fans relentlessly mocking me for being southern and a United supporter. Still, I get free food, booze and seeing United for the first time. Cue LvG playing a 3-5-2 with Rooney in central defence and Fellaini and Smalling up front. EDIT - Shit this is the positivity thread. I'M SURE WHAT I JUST DESCRIBED WILL WORK WONDERFULLY AND WILL HAVE UNITED PLAYING AKIN TO BRAZIL 1970.
