We can be fairly happy in 4th for now, but mid march to mid april we have Liverpool Spurs City and Chelsea 4 out of 5 matches. If were still 4th after that, then were in with a shout.

Nice if the hammers beat Spurs. All we need then is Pool & Southampton drawing. I don't think I would like Pool winning and creeping closer to us point wise. Spurs just equalised, that man Kane

Oh well, seeing as this is the happy positive thread, at least they only gained 1 point on us instead of the 3 most would have expected.

I am going to be happy and positive now. The wife has the Sunday dinner on the go. Chicken breast steaks with roast potatoes and cauliflower in cheese sauce and ice-cream and pudding for afters. I love my football but I bloody love the wifes cooking.

Herrera has 5 goals in 9 starts. Thats why I would play both Mata and Herrera and compromise a striker. Our MFs score more goals than our strikers

Happy man now. Never seen todays match, not even the highlights yet but read all the comments on the match day thread in here. As per normal, we played shite yet we won 2-0 and still sitting 3rd. Let's be happy again until the next match. A lot of the web pundits are making Rooney MOTM. From what I have seen on the Sunderland thread, Young should have been MOTM. I will go by that.

We didn't play shite. Not even close. Was a routine victory.

We are getting better as we are making more chances and keeping posession in the opposition half. De Gea isnt getting the most touches of the ball as well which s another plus. Talking of De Gea we do like him to be involved in the corners though. Twice we took a corner and 2 passes later Evans passes to him from the half way line

Covered the negatives in the matchday thread. The positives:
- Young had a great game yesterday and I'm relieved to see that his recent injury didn't affect the good form he's shown this season - I thought Valencia did a solid job defensively and was one of our better players out there going forward as well - Falcao's moment of pure class to get that pen - We're 3rd or max 4th and have a bit more space from So'ton who lost to West Brom - We had a bit more pace to our play at times, especially down the wings. - We played with wingers and when Ladnan came on, he had a big impact on the game, giving their LB some serious headaches - Herrera started again - LVG was decisive in taking Di Maria off at half time when he was clearly having a shocker- Criticise the bad decisions (hauling Falcao off for Fellaini) but acknowledge the good ones. - Clean sheet

One thing we have missed in the last few months which is a positive- we've been pretty good in all the big games this season, including the loss against City. Good results against Arsenal, Spurs, Scouse and Chelsea. Certainly more confident going into these games than last year.

Fellaini scored a long-range blast against Cyprus [edited] today. Fellainaldo, I mean. Fellaini on song is good news for us. More confidence cannot possibly be a bad thing.
