Apparently Bayern have entered the bidding. R.I.P. thread. Nah. The guy seems too ambitious to play second fiddle to Robben/Ribery. I think we shoudnt worry about it. If a good player is available, surely the linkages to Real or Bayern become active. |

of all the teams rumoured for him bayern would be the most serious threat, robeen/ribery age and injuries he would get game time there and at least a year to slowly bed in as those guys would be the main guys for at least one more year.
if we are serious though and pay what psv want, the rump card is lvg! the player is desperate to work with him

If we're serious this should be wrapped up already. In a strange way I'm more positive than years gone by, we seem to have gotten over the haggling-over-agent-fees and a few million quid phase we were so fond of under Fergie. If we want him, get him. |

Probably me, but I always get sceptical when we are in for players until we actually announce them...but this one I feel is a done deal no matter which club tries to hijack this.

Not worried about Bayern w.r.t Depay if I'm honest. If van Gaal is serious about him, Depay will be a United player this summer. The Dutch connection is way too strong to ignore. Depay thinks of van Gaal as a father apparently too.

Thought it was PSG that were rivalling us, not Bayern? Some papers mention one or the other. Apparently PSG will blow us out of the water for him...I guess the tabloid in question has forgotten we have now opened up the purse strings and can now match PSG and the likes when it comes to wages. |

Might as well get into the swing of things if it happens. 
  What impresses me about some of those clips is not just the individual pieces of skill, which are pretty fucking impressive mind, but also the fact that he either a)puts a finish at the end of them or b)finds an intelligent pass to a team-mate. I think that's why Van Gaal gave him a chance with the national team- don't think he would have lasted very long in that setup if he couldn't keep up the ball possession game. |

There is a comment from a dutch journalist about depay (or depie as they say) on the talk sport pages. He makes him sound like an odd bod, and has reservations whether he would be good enough to come to the premier league.
