Lyon is closer to finish 6th than finishing 3rd and they're fucking 4th. Next season is another story.

Like there is some kind of "agreement" on buy back (Supposedly) I still think the kid is the real deal, and obvious his team mates like him. The kid has to have backbone getting through the shit that he went through as a kid growing up, and he is a hard worker.
Might well be a very good thing, he'll get a lot of playing tima at Lyon, and in a league where he will have a chance to excel. few years from now, he might just be back partnered with Shaw again, the two of them were looking excellent together.
Good piece of business for everyone concerned, and seems to me it was done with both the clubs' and the kids' best interest in mind.
Any player looking to United is going to like the way Jose does things. Onward and upward.

will he do well in france, yes. will he return whilst Jose is manager, can't see it. with martial and rashford, whilst the latter is penned to moved centrally permanently at some point i just think the addition of a certain madrid player this summer or next summer will make things difficult. whichever way hope he does very well and hope he doesn't become another quaresma

Looking at what has transpired with players like Lukaku, De Bruyne, Matic and now Pogba for United, I'd expect there to be no issues in bringing him back when he's killing it in France.
There's a part of me that thinks he may simply not be suited to English football, though.
Let's see.

There's a part of me that thinks he may simply not be suited to English football, though. Let's see. to be fair Jose didn't want Lukaku back regardless of what was put out there it's the club that wanted him back. Matic he did, pogba well he never sold him and debruyne was city, granted Jose didn't give him enough time to adjust and bed in. i know your not saying all those players he wanted back but thing is you have to look at the position, the game we are playing, players in the current position and players we are linked with that can play there. all those variables considered unless memphis has 2 seriously deadly seasons in france it won't even be considered. on paper you would expect memphis should have done well, skill, strong, good energy to get up and down which certainly helps when Pogba is on that left side but it never worked. i think it just came too early for him, holland to say a club playing 7-10th place for 2 years would have been a better transition maybe. no pressure, he would have had a full protected season to bed in and then another to just progress at a steady pace.
