His whole attitude is top class.

Let's hope we don't fuck this up Andreas Pereira wants to play. The Manchester United starlet has spoken to the Brazilian media about his few chances at the club, a concern because for the youngster because he dreams of playing at the Olympics for Brazil in June. As Pereira was born in Belgium, the midfielder is still not very famous in his parents home country. More game time at Manchester United, or elsewhere, would lead to more coverage in Brazil and, if things go to plan, a place at the Olympics. “Well, of course I need to stand out more for the people from Brazil, so I need to play more and have more opportunities. To play at the Olympics is a great dream,” Pereira told Globo Esporte. According to Globo Esporte, Leicester, Malaga and PSV are all interested in the midfielder, but the player keeps saying that it’s United’s decision whether to loan him or not. “I’m an United player. I got to know by the media that there are many clubs interested. I don’t know if United want to loan me, but I’m working hard to have more opportunities. Manchester will decide." Pereira doesn’t seem to have any problems with Louis van Gaal, saying the manager is very communicative about his situation and promises him chances. “He asks me to keep working with dedication, that sometime the opportunities will show. I’m focused and doing my best. Of course I get frustrated sometimes for not playing, but the manager always talks to me. I need to play more, and the club will decide with my agent.” sportwitness.ning.com/forum/topics/pereira-says-he-needs-to-play-move-down-to-man-united-clubs-inter

For some reason Van Gaal is very good at giving young players their debut's, and a taste of first team action, then dumping them back in the u-21's for the next 8 months. Pereira being a case in point.
For someone with a massive rep for promoting youth, I'm not seeing it. Anyone can give a young kid 2 or 3 games, the trick is sticking with them over a season, which he has steadfastly refused to do. How about telling Pereira that, injuries aside, he's a guaranteed starter for the next 7 or 8 games, so the pressure to do something special is off, regardless of how he plays we're going to stick with him.

Andreas Pereira has one club he wants to play for right now, and that's Manchester United. Despite getting less chances than many may have expected under Louis van Gaal, Pereira's mind is set to fight for his place, rather than dwindling down the days until the next transfer window. Last month there was much speculation surrounding the midfielder, as he said he wanted to get more minutes. But Pereira ended up staying at Manchester United and wants to keep it that way. Sport Witness contacted Pereira’s agent Leonardo Scheinkman about a possible move away during the next window, and the youngster's representative was clear: “Not that I’m aware of. He wants to stay at Manchester United." Pereira has struggled to get consistent game time this season, despite having an impressive U20 World Cup with Brazil in June of last year. The Brazilian footballer signed a contract extension with Manchester United in May 2015 which runs until 2018, with an option to be extended for one year. sportwitness.ning.com/forum/topics/exclusive-brazilian-sees-a-man-united-future-for-himself
