I'm beginning to lose the calm. I give it until Monday, then without a signing, everyone from LvG to Ed is a cunt

I take it y'all are generally impatient, ded? I've seen someone call Ed a fucking idiot regardless of who we sign for the rest of the window because he hasn't got all our transfers done on the 1st of July, even though if it was up to him it would probably be done already. Van Gaal prioritizes targets, not Edward. Now everyone in charge are cunts if we don't sign someone by some arbitrary deadline you've come up with? *back-flips into space* We leave in more than two weeks - if we offered 25m straight away they'd have moved the target, isn't that obvious? Your first bid always needs to be lower than you're willing to pay. Murmurs that we want both the Pig and Morgan S, this morning.

I think ded was taking the piss with the 'cunt' comment. Atleast I thought so.
As someone said before, Sneidy with or without Schweiny is a priority.

Most certainly, I think the Schweinsteiger transfer is based more on leadership and what he'd bring to the squad than, say, Schneiderlin who will offer way more going forward over the next 5 years.

If it wasn't entirely clear, I was not fully serious....Most of my posts have been preaching patience, I'm just a little bored, a little underwhelmed.

If the rags are true and we gave them a lowball offer of a measly 20 mil then God I'm embarrassed .

I don't think the transfer market is like some 3rd rate Moroccan Bazaar Jay. Most players will have a clear value placed on them by a club. What drives a price up is an auction involving more than one team. This isn't the case here. They want 25. If we bid 25 pretty much nailed on they'll accept it rather than suddenly ask for 30.

It's impossible to say Stew.
If someone offered me 25 mil straight away and I had no need to sell I'd certainly ask for more.
Look at Clyne to Liverpool, first bid rejected, improved. Sold.

ESPN:
Southampton officials are eager to clarify the future of Manchester United target Morgan Schneiderlin before the club travel to Austria for the first of their preseason games next week, sources have told ESPN FC.
Schneiderlin, 25, has been linked with a move to United and Arsenal in recent months, with sources telling ESPN FC that both clubs have made enquiries for the France international.
The midfielder has been given the green light to make a move to a club playing in next season's Champions League and has expressed a desire to remain in England's Premier League, but Southampton have yet to receive a suitable offer for the player. United's initial bid for Schneiderlin was rejected by Southampton last week, with Saints coach Ronald Koeman confirming that no acceptable offer has been made since.
Koeman is keen to avoid repeat of last summer, when discussions over the future of Schneiderlin and several more of his star names dominated the club's agenda. Schneiderlin took time out from the debate over his future in Thursday as he enjoyed a day at Wimbledon watching his compatriot Jo-Wilfried Tsonga.
Despite wanting to leave the south coast club last summer, the midfielder's impressive performances helped Southampton earn a seventh-placed finish in the Premier League last season.

It's absolutely annoying how long the Schneiderlin saga is dragging on. The club has £150mil to spend on summer, yet we are playing the hardball with Southampton, a decent club, for £5mil? A player we need so badly it's sad, Carrick can't continue to be our 'piano' he is 34, prone to injury and it is the last year on his contract. If the reason is Schweinsteiger, it's very stupid. Schweny was clear about his career intentions. He is not leaving Bayern, nobody is leaving Bayern, I went muppet on this at some point, but that's the truth, they desire to stay there which is beyond comprehensive. None of the players van Gaal played with that are at Munich will leave. Even Robben, a player that was formed by his philosophy, would leave. If this is the reason we are wasting transfer time. Arsenal is just watching, if we lose Schneiderlin's deal, that's his most likely destination. He has worked with Wenger before and AFC can offer champions league football. Add him amongst with Cech and they're reading to fight for the title. Meanwhile our squad, at this very moment, is a Jenga Tower with a 34 year old being the piece that prevents it from falling apart. The acquisition of Schneidy is as important as a CB, we have no one to play this function like he could do it. Picture Rooney as an MF, Herrera protecting the defense - which he did for one match last season, it was ok but it's not his position and our attack force was severely compromise - and RvP upfront. You can mention Blind, but he also started in this position once and it was not good. That's the XI one disaster away. We lost to West Brom at home, we can't afford losing points like this.
