Something also to consider. Because of the astronomical fees of players now to buy , his salary might seem excessive but how much would it cost to buy a decent left back with United added tax ? Sandro is a good player. What was he supposed to cost us, 60 million?

Sandro is a good player. What was he supposed to cost us, 60 million? More than likely. By all accounts we tried to offload Shaw onto Everton but he wasn't interested. Club and player had agreed terms but the fee was an issue with Juve. Moving Shaw on was a necessity to fund the deal. Might end up where the club ends up kicking itself or not? Time will tell.

really hope this gives him added confidence and he carries on his upward projector. he can be a world beater. he does need to work on his defending still. reminds me of Evra, who i loved and was one of my favourite players.
doesn't help that he has the chuckle brothers, actually that's an insult to barry and paul... at CB. once we get a proper CB partnership he will be even better. as a LB myself, having a proper CB who communicates well with you makes your game far easier and far better

Ok Bailly and Lindelof may come good but it's certainly an area of concern.

Biggest credit to Shaw is that he's our only player to have (eventually) reacted positively to Jose's man-management. I think that he still lacks, for lack of better word, an element of oomph to his game, but he can definitely become a great asset for the club if he continues to apply himself.

Being reported widely that Shaw is out for a month at least with a hamstring injury.
