Hi all; new here to RoM, living in Japan and missing Old Trafford.
What's going on with Valdes? LvG's very public comment that he's up for sale after refusing to play for the reserves last year didn't make for good reading today. United are usually good at not causing a stir and revealing in-camp issues, and so I wasn't sure about LvG's 'name and shame' handling of the situation.
Any insight on this? Any thoughts about LvG and the Valdes situation?

Seems like one that can be taken at face value. LvG has generally been pretty upfront with the press, and he didn't leave much room for ambiguity on this. I think he referred to Valdes as a "big disappointment" for refusing to play with the reserves. Think this has more to do with a difference in managerial style than any change in the club as a whole. Personally I'm not that bothered by him leaving if he has a shit attitude.

Seems like LVG was pretty upset with the Valdez's situation. I was astounded when i saw the presser. He must have done something terrible for the gaffer to react in such a way. I guess we all can bid farewell to Valdez now.

Yes, and that something terrible might have nothing to do with the reserves as Valdes has tweeted proof of him playing for them on numerous occassions...something odd's going on. So...what do we think of Lindegaard? We could look at buying Cillesen too if De Gea goes

Valdes tweeted the three times he played for the U-21s. Three big teams as well. He likely refused to play against some of the the lesser Reserves sides or something.

Another of Pep's uber cunt showing his true color..
I can't believe a few fans are criticizing LVG's handling of this situation.. We allowed him to rehab and recover fully, then awarded a very good contract and is this how he repays the faith shown by the club and gaffer?
Carrick, RVP, Falcao all played reserve games. Imagine a backup GK dictating which games he plays esp considering the coach gave him debut at previous club. What kinda of message does it send out? Now the rest of squad won't dare to mess with LVG..

Shame it's turned out this way but think back to the Days of Ditherer for a moment (sorry for bringing those memories back). We now have a)Hardly any leaks to the media about signings, b) A manager with the balls to tell multimillionaire superstars who's boss and that the club comes first, c) A quality squad and serious pulling power to attract the best players in the world.
There will be blood. But there will be titles.
LVG is not the one you want to fuck with.

I saw somebody on Twitter said something along the lines of: 'Moyes would have taken Valdes on tour, and probably given him a foot rub.'
That's the difference.

This news will become history in no time. We wanted a manager to be ruthless and totally in command. LVG is that person.

Think if worst comes to worst and we have to go a season with Linderguardian as our no1 it's not the end of the world. But we must must bring in a new CB.

Bollocks, he's been here a tiny amount of time and he's being a cunt. We gave him an 18 month contract, free Toshiba rehab and the opportunity to play for the best club in the world. He can get to fuck and I'm glad the manager called him out

I don't think De Gea is leaving now. I'm pretty sure that deadline the other day was true so Real can go fuck themselves. It also gives us longer to find and properly scout a replacement be it Leno or Olbak or whoever.

I don't think LVG should have came out in the press conference and said this. This all should have been kept behind close doors. Why the players get paid millions to do a simple job. Play football and get paid massive amounts of coin. Set the ego a side and do your job. If your unable to do that there's the door.
