There was a story today or yesterday, where it was revealed that Valdes did this as a first year player in 1st team while LvG was at Barca. LvG dropped Valdes for a CL match I believe, and he didn't show up for the next training session. He was heavily fined, but it seems that he had a Déjà vu moment and LvG was done with Valdes....The Boss has spoken, Bitch.

I posted yesterday in the transfer threads I think and it's pretty much the story in Spain- Valdes was under the impression (like most of us) that he was signed to replace DDG. Which would have been the case if they hadn't taken the utter piss with a frankly insulting bid. So when Utd decided that De Gea staying for one more year was actually worth more in potential trophies etc. Valdes was then told he'd be 2nd choice for another year and that's where the problems started. Unlike Begovic Valdes wanted to actually play football so was understandably pissed off.

That's where we are at. Allegedly. It's important to remember that Van Gaal has a history of this and we've only heard his version of events. And Valdes is only a reserve keeper. Let's hope we don't have a similar situation with one of our more important players.

I feel that whenever negotiations are ongoing between Real Madrid and United, or Real and ANYBODY, they are always going to end up slying their way into doing better out of it than the other involved party one way or another.
