I said on another United web site some 3 years ago ON WHAT! a few people ranted on about Moyes should be the next manager - All them guys who chose Moyes have a lot of rotten eggs in their faces now. Jimbonda is the most famous one of those ... muahahah Lol, that site hit the skids a little later on so I found out, then someone mentioned Rom and here I am.

I told in my very first post in Sergio Ramos thread that he will not come here and using us to get a better contract.

I was one of the original Rooney nay-sayers. I like to remind people all the time

I tend to remember when I was wrong more than right (doesn't mean I'm always wrong though!), but I backed De Gea from day one and feel very vindicated on that. I also defended Shaw to a lot of ABUs in his first season, though nowhere near the same level.
The first player I ever used the phrase "I don't rate him" for was Stewart Downing when he was at Middlesborough. The second was SWP. I picked both of those well when people were raving about them.
Loved Mata even when he was at Chelsea (their only player I liked) and thought he'd be an absolute brilliant signing for us.
Thought Aguero and Torres were quality at Atleti and was gutted when they went elsewhere (Torres ended up shit at least).
I never thought for a second that Darren Gibson was good enough (along with everyone else probably).
Wanted to scream at Giggs for not retiring when SAF did.
Didn't think we should sign Pedro (early days still though).
Thought McClaren was a terrible appointment for England.
Still backed Rio up until SAF left (he was in PL TOTY despite everyone saying he was past it 2 years earlier).
Always thought Nani had the talent to be top class but not the temperament.
Had no doubt that Germany would win the 2014 WC and won some cash on it. Equally confident (much further out though) that France will win 2018.
Thought we'd go out in the groups in the 2014 WC.
I remember being very clearly certain that Terry wouldn't score his penalty, though that may have been sheer desperation. I'd love to read through the RoM thread of that final and see what everyone here thought.

Never wanted Mourinho. Never thought Falcao would come good.

I remember saying for about 2 years before he eventually signed, that Dwight Yorke was a United player. Even when he was at Villa.
His movement and balance was Uniteds way of playing, and the style of player suited for us at the time.
Oh boy did he help the cause.

It's true. Since 2010 I believe? 2008! (But not really, because most of my other Rooney-related posts at that time were pro-Rooney.) He doesn't seem to have worked on refining his overall ability at all since he broke through. It's all instinct with him. (That snapshot finish against Milan in the European Cup quarter final was superb for example, he didn't have to think about it.) He started out at a hgh level though and should naturally progress as he matures. === === === There was a guy in 2009 who really stuck the boot in, and said a lot of the things I have been saying for ages. I agreed with him at the time, but again, my opinion seemed to wildly veer between loving Rooney and seeing the light. 2011 seems to have really been when the tide turned and I wasn't for convincing otherwise. Better than total trash is still trash. He's been asked to play on the left, boo-friggin'-hoo. Though, he's actually been playing more through the middle than our top goal-scorer lately - which is bullshit in itself. Rooney needs to put in some vastly improved performances, I don't mean goals, I mean all round performances. No-one can really deny that. Fuck Wayne Rooney being happy or not in midfield. He's taking liberties i.e. being shite whilst flattering to decieve. Bumper new contract and a massive wage and he manages 4 goals all season? Fuck Rooney. I said in September the only way he will win my support back is by scoring a host of goals and winning things for our club, single-handed if he has to. He's not done that at all. Instead, he's been worse than ever. Now, just because he got a brace mid-week, our top goal-scorer and best forward this season got hauled off and Rooney left on. If I was Berbatov I'd wonder why I bother. Fergie needs to wake up and drop the mercenary wee scrote. To hell with playing him in midfield, bench him. Rooney's touch has been shocking the past two and a bit seasons, his passing has gone down the pan, and his presence as a threat from outside the box has vanished. The only saving grace he had was the immense 18 yard/6 yard box potency. Now that's fucked aswell. He needs sorting out. When was Banannarama calling Rooney fat? Not sure if he was entirely serious at the time, but there were a few of us raising questions at the time.

Like a few others, De Gea. My first post in the "De Gea vs Lindegaard?" thread:

De Gea, easily.
He's one of the best young keepers in the world.
There are certain things lacking, of course there are, at his age most keepers aren't anywhere near their clubs first team, especially a club the size of United, but how is he gonna get the experience of the premier league and iron out the few problems he has without playing?
No problem with Lindegard, and he strikes me as a more than good enough keeper, especially as back up, but doesn't look like he'll ever be a world beater, De Gea does.

Also, if my wife is reading, yesterday I predicted I was gonna get really drunk at the function we went to, what with the whole "free beer" thing. Told you so.
Edit: Oh, and Fryers. Remember a bit fuss when he left us, some talk by a few about what a great defender he'd be. Said at the time I didn't see anything special about him and he wouldn't be a loss. 100% on that.
