To be honest he can say what he likes, he's gone so I don't care now.

Not usually a fan of the RI but must admit this made me laugh. aside from the obvious "intellect" BS, what exactly has this journalist stated that isn't true. This is Ed's show. he chooses the managers, he can veto any player recruitment, he (seemingly) empowers players who challenge the manager, he will recruit the DoF. He has all of the power. calling him the "King" is play on the obvious contempt any real United supporter would have with comparing Ed to Eric, but Ed does indeed hold many of the power cards, irrespective of whether we like it or not. |

I think as long as the Glazers are here we will always have Woodward around, Jose took him on and now he is done and the likes of SAF and SBC seem to have too much class to go into a public dick swinging contest with him but they are the only ones apart from the Glazers with the power to make his position untenable by setting the fans on him. I hate the almost vulgar way he has briefed against Jose's stint here in justifying his sack here, the in depth description of Mourinho's meltdowns will have only come from one place. There was no need to that far, especially the articles in the Times were just too much, because the results themselves were enough. I, however, like that he seems to be pushing hard for the DoF appointment and hopefully he gets it right because we need to start moving in the right direction asap.

I am no supporter of Woodward, in fact I have been very critical of him at times and he does have to be held largely accountable for the mess United have become.
BUT
Does anyone ever think that he himself has had a steep learning curve and is now recognising the error of his ways, and just maybe he may be better for it?
