I am no supporter of Woodward, in fact I have been very critical of him at times and he does have to be held largely accountable for the mess United have become. BUT Does anyone ever think that he himself has had a steep learning curve and is now recognising the error of his ways, and just maybe he may be better for it? I'll let you know when he appoints the next permanent manager and DOF.

Bleeding us dry, making sure the cash flow out of the club never stops. Throwing enough money around at splashy transfers that drive internet clicks. Fool naive idiots into pointing at the 'amount of money Jose got' to argue Woodward and his masters are somehow not the real virus in the club.

Ps. Marketing is not necessarily in a Football Executive's Performance Objectives from my point of view.

I usually cannot stand Olly Holt. Bloody delighted to see him at it with this one.

The only bit I disagree with is this idea that he's doing a good job on the commercial side. Fergie left an institution. Any half competent CEO with the financial background he has should and would have took advantage of that in a similar manner. One of the things that is easily forgotten is that the Glazers had to flog the brand to make money otherwise they would have had to continue with the no value in the market model imo. It was borne out of necessity! The debt is still there. 400 million of it.

The interesting thing for me is that these two pieces have come out together. It’s as if someone is pressing the button to start a campaign against Ed. Bloody hope so!
If it can get him out of the football side of things then we may actually have a chance going forward...

I know he wasn’t directly responsible for the team not bothering to show up last night but the fact is that now, barring a complete miracle, we are about to have our 4th trophyless season in 6 since this goon took over. It’s a probably waste of time to even talk about how he’d have been fired or worse at any of the other major clubs but it’s bordering on scandalous that someone so inherently awful at what should constitute the main part of is job is allowed to carry on regardless of results. Unless they’re to do with money unfortunately.
Infuriating. And probably hopeless.
