It looks like he is stepping aside to divide his role and hand over to a football director anyway. At least there is that, but unless he gets rid of sour puss as well it will remain as bad. The problem is, I don't have any faith in him doing this right either The one thing the Glazers won't have him doing is stepping aside, any DOF will report to him & ultimately,do as he is told.

In some respects Woodward could be commended, look at the mess since SAF retired & then compare the commercial revenue/partners post & pre retirement.
If Woodward ever manages to appoint a manager that gets it anywhere near right on the pitch....££££££££££££

Of course a DOF will report into him, but he will effectively be stepping aside to hand over the responsibilities of transfers and major appointments including manager. A lack of money has not been the problem. It's a lack of vision or knowledge and street smarts in the football side of it. The club is too big now not to have one

Going nowhere... www.football365.com/news/man-united-share-price-reaches-record-levelJose Mourinho’s side were embarrassed by Brighton at the weekend but that did not stop Manchester United‘s share price reaching an all-time high the following day. Sunday’s 3-2 defeat on the south coast has thrown United under the spotlight, from the future of their manager to the happiness of record-signing Paul Pogba and effectiveness of background operations. But such issues have not impacted the company as a whole, with the club’s share price reaching an all-time high on Monday. United were trading at a record 24.20 US dollars (£18.75) on the New York Stock Exchange, with the share price at 23.10 dollars (£17.90) by close on Tuesday. It means the club’s market value is around £3billion, with United set to enjoy revenues of half a billion pounds for the third successive year. The fiscal 2018 results are expected to be announced in September, with the club having said that revenue was expected to be between £575million and £585million in their third quarter results. United set record revenues of £581.2m in 2017, having made £515.3m in 2016.

I just want him havin nothing to do with football Protesting that cunt is nothing like Arsenal. And I cannot comprehend not wanting him out, embarrassed, and publically shamed. He brought the Glazers here and is their main man in our boardroom. He needs to be gone.

Quite a lot of clubs did it before us I think. I can remember Blackburn doing one for Steve Kean. Unless you mean we were the first club to fly a Moyes based plane over, in which case you'd be right, and I'm surprised every club he's been at since haven't followed suit.

Oh, he needs to be gone alright. Problem is that's he's pretty much a commercial juggernaut for the club, so the Glazers will have zero intention of letting him go. They want as much incoming money as humanly possible, they're greedy bastards but pains me to say it, from their viewpoint why would they ever get rid of the guy?

Yeah agree, but just can't see the kind of protests organised that need to be. He (Woodward) is a charmless geek, whose view of United is "Disneyland" That's how he sells it to potential managers jesus h I don't think there is anything wrong with commercial success, but I believe that idea he has brought it to the club is a myth! We have been the most popular sports club in the world for decades before he came anywhere near it. It's just that there is more money in football now and technology and data were obviously going to allow marketers and commercial sponsors to tap into that worldwide appeal. It's at it's peak now and he gets the credit for that which is nonsense His loop the loop strategy has turned us into a disorganised circus, moving further away from the United way that was built over decades by better men before him He hasn't built anything, he has just been one of those people in the right place at the right time and the right guy for the Glazers. You take him out of his comfort zone and he is completely out of his depth as he has shown in the last 5 years or so. I am not sure anyone could have done a worse job destroying the clubs image, which is ironic, because he claims to have built it's commercial success. Let him run the numbers and report to the Glazers, as long as we get someone who has some charm and real knowledge of building a great football team, we will be fine. A strong DOF with a defined mandate and autonomy + a modern fun coach used to that structure, like Pochettino or Zidane + our resources = happy times again. Woodward has been an absolute disaster and this should have been done from the start or at least after the Moyes debacle.

I just think the last thing we need now is stupid banners and planes. see above Just make the right decisions and get us back to the Club we were just 5 years ago without this circus or there will be mass protests by the year end
