Not seen the article, but there's some tweets that are lifted from it, and Daniel Taylor's gone in 2 footed, then stamped and spat on Woodward on The Athletic.

Times saying Woowar regrets leading the ESL proposals. Guess it's bye-bye Neil, too.

"Woodward exit due to European Super League plot" "Sky Sports News has learned that Manchester United executive vice chairman Ed Woodward tendered his resignation to the Glazer family because he could not support their plans for a European Super League. He is due to remain in his post at Old Trafford until the end of the year" What bullshit is this , how stupid do they think we are?

MEN reporting that he’s going to pick his successor. Unreal. Oh, no worries then. He’s officially out by December, this means he’ll only be half way done monitoring potential candidates.

Looks like it is gonna be Arnold. More of the same.
The problem, of course, is that Super League aside, his paymasters think he did an excellent job and want that to continue.

Just seen this reported...
Man United have now begun their search for Woodward’s successor and have highlighted Norwich City’s Stuart Webber and Southampton’s Martin Semmens as possible candidates, according to talkSPORT presenter Alex Crook, who says United are likely to make an ‘external appointment with Premier League experience’.
Webber has achieved success with Norwich having played a key behind-the-scenes role in the Canaries’ successful bid to regain their Premier League status.
I would love an external person to be brought in but I just can't see it...

I can't say I know too much about Stuart Webber, but Norwich fans are talking very highly of him, saying he's a genius. I don't know what he's done to deserve such high praise, but I'll take their word for it. They're also saying that he's incredibly unlikely to leave before the end of next season, so a 6 month wait after Woodward finally fucks off. Seems doable. I just don't want Arnold or Judge.
