Danny Higgs suggested it could be part of a plan for Conte to move to his preferred 3-5-1. Luiz can play the ball from defence, but who plays RWB? Given Lichtsteiner often played there for Juve you'd think it'd be Azpilicueta and then Alonso on the left? Problem is with 3-5-1, where do Willian and Hazard fit? May revert back to the 4-2-4 he tried in preseason? Basically I haven't got a clue

Us buying Pogba back for £88 million more than we sold him for, is way fucking better than Chelsea paying £38-40M for a 29YR old they had the fortune to get rid of for £50M.

With Juve, Conte played 352 in league and 433 in CL iirc. Azpi and Alonso can play WBs and as for fitting Hazard and Willian, one can play SS and the other as a 10. Willian played centrally for Shakthar and doubt he would complain about not starting every match.

So, Wilshire looks set to join Bournemouth. Quite a fall from grace for someone who was so highly rated at one point. Still, at only 24, if he can overcome injuries, he still has time to reach the very high level many thought he would.

Martins Indi has joined Stoke on loan, James McCarthy is maybe on his way to Celtic.
In the last two years we've been seriously linked with both.
In the last two months we've signed Pogba, Zlatan, Sir Mick and Eric.
I fucking love football

You cannot tell me that we want to retain every single senior player we've currently got in our squad currently so it's been a pretty shite job from Ed in that regard.
Going to be a number of players who get very little, if any game time.

Going to be a number of players who get very little, if any game time. If they don't want to go, there's very little he can do about it. Keeping players in the squad has nothing to do with Ed anyway. Bastian can go on a free but won't, we subsidised Nani's wages for a year and so on, sold cheaply every player we've sold since he was in charge of all that shit. Ed is shit at a lot of things, excellent at some others, but this is nothing to do with him, Jose wants his 23+ keepers, he's got them, Bastian is the only senior player not in it.

We are playing a lot of games this season. So we really do need two players for every position and Mourinho has put the brakes on the youth movement Van Gaal started only choosing to retain Timmy FM and Rashford and sending the rest either on loan to continue their development or letting them try to make it at lesser clubs.
Only real senior players (besides Rooney!) you can argue are surplus to requirements are Bastian, Rojo and Darmian. Bastian we know the situation and it will take time to move him on. Rojo I have no idea I see no logical reason for keeping him as we are well covered at centre back and left back. Darmian probably isn't needed as we have Valencia and Timmy FM but I guess Mourinho isn't fully sold on Timmy FM and wants experienced backup.
