Talk of him going to Barcelona, discuss people. Why? I can't see it unless it's a swap but who knows. Rashfords has slid off the rails recently and a change might be good for him. Rashford is 24 now and he's got to produce sooner rather than later, these 3 or 4 month cameos are being replaced with 3 or 4 games now. |

I’ve never made a secret of what I think about Rashford.
A combination of hitting his ceiling and Ole flogging him when he was injured has led us to this.
An ambitious club would upgrade.
Unfortunately that’s not us.

He still has 2 years left on his contract and no doubt intends to run it down. So we should really try to sell him this summer and put the money towards someone like Osimheh or Isak.

I’ve been thinking about Rashford a lot the past few days and I’m not saying he’s not partially responsible for his slide recently but it is crazy the sheer amount of games and exposure we’ve put on him from a very young age. His first season he arrived on the scene late and played 11 prem games but then the following season he’s played 32 as a teenager. In fact since then he’s played over 30 prem games a season including last season where he played 37 games after what was a short pre season because of Covid. He’s 25 in October and he’s played 298 games in all competitions.
You compare that to Foden who’s been eased into the fold by Pep and has been protected. Foden played a career high of 28 prem games last year in what was his 4th season has a player getting games. Even Kane hadn’t played anywhere near the same amount of games. Kane is 29 this year and has only played 146 games more than Rashford.
We have put an incredible amount on Rashford.
