this ref hardly seems impartial.
Uruguay is a hard team at the best of times, but it still seems they aren't getting the benefit of the doubt with this ref.

What did Guardado get sent off for?? Surely it can't be for that 'foul'. P.S. Sign Godin.

My viewing source got glitchy, but did they actually screw up the Chilean anthem after playing it last night instead of the Uruguayan anthem? That's pathetic.

Banega is a tidy little player. Impressed in the EL as well. Shame that he is going to inter. Would have been an astute free signing.

Romero poor decision. Coming out 12 yards for a cross, missing it entirely and then being made to look stupid.

Colombia 2 USA 0. I went over to a viewing party for the USA v. Colombia match, and I have not seen my country's side looks this woeful, inept, toothless, and pathetic since before Steve Sampson was in charge. Jurgen Klinsmann is a fucking fraud. We were poor everywhere on the pitch: our defenders got beaten on the outside with ease every time Cuadrado got the ball, they couldn't spring an offside trap to save their lives, our midfield was totally absent and Bradley didn't realize we were the team in white. And to top it off, Dempsey sucks balls. No pace, no movement, no guile, no touch, no dribbling skills. He is as one-dimensional a player as I have ever seen. If he happens to be in the right place at the right time and the ball lands at he feet he can score it, but at international level he is done - and yet we persist with him and Wondolowski. It makes me so angry to see the USA team regress. We are worse now than when Tab Ramos and Alexi Lawless were in the team. It's depressing.
And Colombia played in 2nd gear, with at least 2 more gears to go that they didn't even use. Once they'd gone 2-0 up, they just took the piss. Infuriating.

USA 4 Costa Rica 0. So today's match was an obvious improvement, and against terrible opponents we actually looked good. Amazing that this was the same team. With a little bit more luck it could have easily been 6 or 7 to 0, so comprehensive was the victory. I'm glad this match was second rather than first, because we would have been led to believe we were suddenly amazing at football. This way, it's a reality check. I still want Dempsey and Klinsmann gone, though.

I would give Haiti the three points. Passionless from BR and the supporters. Brazil, after gifting the football gods with Pelé and the 1970 team, Cafu as the only RB and player in the world to play 3 consecutive World Cup finals – winning two of them –, after the front three of Ronaldo, Rivaldo and Ronaldinho, not to mention Zico and the 1982 team, found the way from glory and attacking football to the most tedious football amongst the national teams, no matter how many goals scored per match. Dunga's team is the Van Gaal's United of the national teams. Boring to watch. Fuck, it is currently 6-1 and IT IS BORING. Although Louis haven't lost 7-1 in any semi final and haven't adhered to the modern Barcelona ethos of diving and complaining. Renato Augusto to China is a waste of talent. Gabigol is the shining light of youth though, he will be a star, much like Neymar's early years. Coutinho would be lovely, too bad he's tainted by being a part of the vermin mob. Edit: how can a match end 7-1 and still be boring? ?? Dunga. Has. To. Go. Prefereably to hell.

Most beautiful thing about this game. Respect to Haitians and their players, they really play for their country, wearing their hearts out and their amazing supporters have much to teach us.
No circus, no players crying and saying they wanted to make their country happy, no excuses. That's how you lose a football match. Learn from them, Brazil.

Totally end to end but just mistakes and losing possession every where. This Ecuador 'keepers something else as well, it's like watching a conference 'keeper, he's flapping at everything.

Dunga is adding to the line of frauds that Brazil has had managing their national team in the last 5 years or so. They're all just so bad, doesn't help that all the talent is going off to China and the MLS either. Question is, who replaces him. Is their any top brazilian managers at the moment or do you go foreign Speaking of Gabigol, we should bring him in to United, so good at such a young age, even if we buy him now and loan him back for 2 years to Santos for him to develop, it would be amazing (so long as they don't stuff him about).

Too much stupid pride to go foreign and the only manager with the guts to do the necessary for the national team has rejected us lol Yes, he'd be an excellent acquisition and the loan back idea is great. He likely won't be around for more than three years.
