My biggest worry is having a pretty much uncontested Tory government for the foreseeable future seems Scotland are almost certain to have another vote and this time they'll certainly leave the UK. Fuck me, Boris is going to be our next Prime Minister, isn't he?

I do like Boris though. He does crack me up, don't want Labour or the Tory's in charge 2bh, both have had their fair share of attempts of fucking this country up.

I was a remain vote, but I certainly don't see leavers as racist. The problem is that the actual racists are definitely all in the leave camp, so anyone who voted leave automatically got tarred with the same brush. It pretty much sums up the level of outright ignorance that blighted the entire campaign from both sides. I should clarify this is what I've been referring too. I've been trying to understand the whole thing. People in the remain camp seem to have very definitive reasons for staying, largely economic. More young people voted remain. More old people voted leave & the reasons seem to be either to close the borders or "Fuck it, why not?" & I struggle to see the reasoning behind it but as I'm not voting my is thankfully irrelevant. I can only speak from my own small bubble, but the people I work and live with in the leave camp were very much all in with the immigration argument. The subject of economic impact was barely ever spoken about. Everything from restricting further immigration, right through to "we can kick the Pakis out when we leave" Similarly, the remain voters were almost all about economic armageddon. There was no middle ground conversation at all which was disheartening. Unfortunately, this tends to be the discourse when the general public are asked to vote on things. They don't understand all of it, so they cherry pick things they think they know, even if they are factually wrong.

I wanted Scotland to stay but as long as they're voting for that zealot Sturgeon whether she actually has the balls to run for parliament herself or not they're welcome to themselves.

Yeah that's why I said people I live and work with. The discussion here was great.

What about your own nation? Can you see a push for a vote in northern Ireland? Not Northern Ireland, our political situation isn't as black and white. I'm 100% sure Scotland will now push for a second referendum, a lot of Scots will feel they have been pulled out of Europe by English votes despite 60% of people wanting to remain. Its all guess work at the moment about what will happen, I'm lucky I work in a growing sector but I'm sure there will be a lot of uncertainty in the coming weeks. The sooner we negotiate a settlement and get out the better, because nothing stifles economic prospects more than uncertainty.

Well considering just 3 years ago he stated he'd very much be in the remain camp, it looks that way.
