Voting out isn't racist and never has been. It's just most racists are most likely to have voted leave. So sensible people, like Bestie get tarred with the same brush.
Immigration is an issue. We're an island with limited space, and I say that as a Remain voter. However, like I said earlier there were legit reasons on both sides. None of which were aired properly. So the scaremongering popular vote of 'FUCK THE FOREIGNERS' won.

Well considering just 3 years ago he stated he'd very much be in the remain camp, it looks that way. The live of a career politician.

Boris is horrible. He's perfected that amiable buffoon act to the point where people have forgotten he's a cunt. He isn't a cunt. I've met the man albeit briefly. I too have met Boris and can report back that he was very nice - he went out of his way to have a conversation with me whilst we were both waiting for a lift in the Shard. I've met Gove and Osborne too and both of them were nice to me. I wouldn't want Boris as PM, and he's done some morally questionable things outside of politics (primarily multiple affairs), but he was very nice to me when he didn't have to be, so in my (admittedly brief) experience he came across well.

So there is a very real possibility that Trump and Johnson could be the leaders of two of the most powerful nations in the world by Christmas.
Good news if you're a Mad Max fan.

I completely fail to understand how this is a good move economically . Absolutely fail to. Doesn't this also restrict the free movement of British citizens in the EU as well? Well it technically shouldn't, considering the UK passport has visa free immigration privileges in 90% of the world. But this surely can't be good for trade and economics can it ? Someone explain .

Some thoughts now the shock of the loss has ebbed away a bit:
Cameron leaving was a given. I feel a tad sorry for him as if it wasn't for him and his hugely unlikely victory last year this referendum would never have happened. Such bad luck is life in politics.
I was never convinced that Boris actually believed in Leave - I think that he expected to pick it and then lose the vote so he could be seen as the champion of Leavers in the eventual battle to replace Cameron. If Remain had been more politically expedient for him I think he would have believed that. Gove on the other hand, and obviously Farage as well, clearly believed in that cause.
I think Scotland and Northern Ireland both deserve a referendum now, and I expect them to leave the UK. I don't know enough about Irish politics to say whether NI would join Ireland or just become its own country, but I'm guessing the latter? I'm sure the many Irish posters here will let me know what they think about it.
After Boris, the next biggest winner from this is Trump. If market volatility makes its way to the US that will help his anti-establishment campaign a lot.
As a country we now need to make a choice: will we be a low-regulation, high-immigration economy like most economists said was the best hope of succeeding outside the EU (including the ones who backed Remain and Leave)? Or will we largely reduce immigration like a great deal of Leavers (not all) want? I wonder if another referendum (different question - likely whether we remain a member of the Common Market rather than EU) would be the best way to solve that question.
Buying foreign players is going to be a huge pain for United now. Sterling has rebounded a bit because of Carney's comments but it will still take a huge hit. The English premium may well pale in comparison to the continental premium.
I have a 50 Euro note left over from my holiday to Rome in November. Does that make me a millionaire in Sterling?

It will take at the very least about 2 years to complete the Brexit.
That's if the new PM doesn't decide to re-run the vote for it if the EU cough up some much bigger concessions.

Rustin- I don't think buying established players will be any more difficult, ie Zlat would apply for and get a work permit easily. However, you can say goodbye to signing anymore TFMs, Perrerias and Andnans at the age we did.

From what I've read it will impact it.
