Theres a lot of talk about mkhi in other threads right now and i'm trying to move the discussion over here.
I wonder whats going on with him.for me the most likely are these 2 options. 1)he had a falling out with mourinho after the city or around that time, therefor out of favour 2)he doesnt show enough positive mentality to reach his level and is struggling in training, although being fit for a couple of weeks now

I really hope he gets to play tonight...I know what happened last time but ffs...he is supposed to be a top player...maybe not start him but give him significant game time...
Otherwise what's the point? Lot's of stuff in the papers about him heading for the door before he's even half way through coming in...
I hope we don't bugger up another BvB player like K..... or he who shall not be mentioned...still too raw...

Maybe let him start behind the striker? That way even if he's overwhelmed he isn't too much of a liability in defense, and can still demonstrate his magic on the offense. We really are desperate for him to start playing regularly and show everyone why we bought him..
I can only imagine how much fun it will be to see these 6 players play together.. Zlatan Marital - Mata - Miki Pogba - Herrera

MOURINHO: WHY MKHITARYAN HAS BEEN ABSENT
Jose Mourinho has suggested Henrikh Mkhitaryan needs time to adapt to English football, but the Manchester United manager has backed his signing to become a top player for the Reds.
The Armenian has just featured since the Manchester derby on 10 September and that is partly due to him suffering an injury while representing his homeland in the recent international break.
Mourinho confirmed during Friday’s press conference at the Aon Training Complex that Mkhitaryan is no longer injured, telling reporters that he is working hard on his fitness behind the scenes.
“He is not injured,” the manager said. “Sometimes I confuse the word 'fit' in the English language. Sometimes you can say that it is 'not injured', but you could also say that you are in great condition and ready to compete. That is different for me as we use different words in Portuguese for the different situations. Mkhitaryan is not injured, he is training with the team 100 per cent.
Asked if it takes some players longer to adapt to the English game, Mourinho continued: “I think so, yes. Some players find it very easy whereas others need more time. They need time to feel the intensity, the aggression, the game without the ball and the competitiveness.
“The realities are often different, particularly in terms of the competitiveness. It doesn't matter who you are against, you have to play at the highest level otherwise you will not be able to do it. Micki needs time to become the top player he knows he can be.”
Mourinho expressed his confidence in Mkhitaryan when expanding on the topic that dominated Friday’s press conference, pointing to two of his former players at Chelsea and Real Madrid who required time blossom in their new surroundings. “I think Micki will work here for sure,” he said.
“I don't like to speak about players from other clubs because I don't want to be misinterpreted, but I don't think he'll mind. A player who had a problem to play when he first arrived was Willian. He went through a process and then, after a few months, he became a top player. Then, when we won the championship, he was phenomenal and still is. That is just an example.
“Similarly, Di Maria had to learn a lot about his game when he came into Madrid from Portugal. Sometimes this is what happens. It happens with defenders, but it is often easier for them to adapt than attackers. Some go straight to success and others it takes more time.
"In Micky's case the process was interrupted by injury, which does not help the process of evolution. Being out for a month meant he has had to go through the process of getting match fit, then once he has that he needs the competitive level to do it. We believe him and, sooner or later, there will be no problem.”

So, basically, Reckon there's probably a movable line between 'fit' and 'injured' that we all have different definitions for. I take both points, i. e. SET saying if the manager thinks the player isn't right, he isn't right with others saying fitness is fitness. Regardless, we can all agree Mkhitaryan not featuring is fucking annoying no matter what the reason.

Still, good news that Jose is still backing Mkhi and he will get his chance...just hope it is sooner rather than later...

Wait , wait , WAIT .
So what you're telling me is that there's no drama at all surrounding him and he's actually happy to do as the manager says ?
Shocking news.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan trained on his own at Carrington on Sunday out of choice after he was not involved in Manchester United's draw against Burnley. United players were given Sunday off by Jose Mourinho but Mkhitaryan chose to enhance his fitness at the club's training complex, contrary to reports claiming he was made to train alone. M.E.N. Sport understands Mkhitaryan has always done additional training sessions dating back to his stint at Shakhtar Donetsk and a source described him as a 'perfectionist and a hard worker'. The 27-year-old was not included in the fifth matchday squad in succession against Burnley on Saturday and has not played since he was substituted on his full debut against City on September 10. It is understood the 27-year-old is hopeful of resolving his situation as soon as possible and is eager to cement himself as the playmaker in Mourinho's side in a similar role to the way Thomas Tuchel played him at Borussia Dortmund last season, when Mkhitaryan scored 23 goals and provided 24 assists. Mkhitaryan has been described as a 'strong character and real fighter who doesn't show his emotions' and he is training intensively in an attempt to return to the first-team. M.E.N. Sport has also been told claims Mkhitaryan could be sold in the new year are 'completely false' and he is focused on his Old Trafford career. www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/manchester-united-news-henrikh-mkhitaryan-12101830#ICID=sharebar_twitter

I still find the whole thing strange ok the prem does take some adjusting to but we are almost in November now, he`s 27 which is prime for most players so its not like we getting a kid adjusted and he`s an International captain surely he should be ready now?
