OK, I was joking about Carbs, but that is totally ban worthy. Its like a brother and sister having sex. It quite simply can't happen. I don't know if incest is the right metaphor. It's more like the first time your lady puts her tongue in a place you weren't expecting. It feels dirty, it feels wrong, you know you shouldn't like it. But if you just relax and enjoy, it'll change your life forever. Hahahahahaha. Fair play. That's good.

Dear Rustin I have recently moved into my new house. All is good up until 10 minutes ago. I've booked this week off to get settled, done some food shopping etc. Went to the butcher's yesterday and got some tasty sausages etc. Fast forward to just now, I made my first sausage and egg pitta in my new house. That is when disaster struck. I forgot about the brown sauce. I am truly devastated. I'm sat here at the kitchen table writing this in complete shock that I had to eat said sandwich without the brown. Please help me get over this trauma. Yours Si.
Anyone that sticks brown sause on a sausage sarnie rather than red sause deserves no feeling better

Ketchup is for people who's tastebuds haven't evolved after the age of 4.

Dear Si, That does sound like an extremely vexing situation - I’m sorry you had to go through that. In the long term, I recommend always having a spare bottle in the cupboard, so that if one suddenly expires, you have a backup that can go straight into the fridge. However, that doesn’t help with this situation here and now. What you need is some comfort, ideally righting a wrong that has occurred. Some suggestions: 1) If you didn’t use up all the sausages, get some sauce in and then make them properly tomorrow. A new day is the best time to turn over a new leaf and improve on what came before. 2) If there aren’t any sausages, and you have some spare change, get your favourite takeaway cuisine from a new place in your new area. You’ve had a bad experience with an old favourite today, so maybe you can have a great experience with a new favourite as well. 3) If no food-related options are on the table, take comfort in the fact that you haven’t ever resorted to the sacrilege of combining red and brown sauce like Monty . Your soul is still pure in this regard, and you will bounce back from this pain. Lots of love, Rustin
I...I keep my sause's in the fridge, does no one else do this?

Yes but once opened. While they're sealed they can live in the cupboard.

Yes. Don’t know why though. I don’t remember sauces going in fridges when I was a kid. Same with bread.

Dear Rustin
Over the last few years, watching football has been much less of a priority for me. I just don't understand why. I get we as a team have been pretty hard to watch, but just in general I'm finding it hard to concentrate on any game I watch. Having said that, I am feeling quite optimistic about next season. Would you agree?
And as a side note, having lived in my house for a while now, I've since found out the the place they make rag puddings is a 30 second walk from my front door 😁
Lots of love. Si.

The truth is that I have also felt the same way. I think there are a few reasons - us being worse, our worst rivals being better than they have been for years, football in general becoming more homogenous, and attention spans lowering across the board as we all interact more with social media and other ADHD-inducing applications on a variety of different screens.
There's no easy answer. It takes more effort, but I'd say try to minimise distractions when we play - perhaps just a laptop with RoM open, or not even that if it tempts you too much. Watching with a friend or loved one also helps, as you can chat about the game's developments as we slowly pass from side to side. And of course, the best remedy of all is going to Old Trafford - but I appreciate, in spite of our poor play, that is harder than ever.
But yes - I am optimistic too. The new owners are already making a dent, they've taken Ten Hag's biggest weakness (transfers) mostly off him, and he showed in the cup final that with the right players he really can get a tune out of them. The future is looking much brighter than even three months ago, and the new season will be here before you know it.
Glad the takeaway situation is now sorted, and I hope you never had to resort to mixing ketchup and brown sauce.
Lots of love,
Rustin

Rustin, as ever, words of wisdom flow from your fingertips! And, reading back on this thread HAS made me feel better 😁 I definitely miss some of the posters we had. It was good to read a few of their comments!
I do think covid had an impact too. I stopped watching with friends and moved to a new town so it became difficult to resume seeing the games with mates.
