DISCLAIMER: I am not saying Pogba is a done deal or even likely. I am not convinced the transfer will go through. I am merely asking a hypothetical question based on the assumption that it does go through. #POGBACK BITCHES
So yeah, assuming Woodward wants to become an even more knobbish Perez, who would you want our annual Galactico to be next summer (so no 'so and so just signed a new contract so wouldn't come' etc.)?
Tried to be kind of realistic but if Pogba is willing to come here for the right price who knows, so I've ended up with Neymar etc. Try to balance a vague sense of realism combined with who you would truly want in your answer.

Was thinking about Griezmann, but more realistically went for Varane because I know that Jose likes him..

Griezmann is the obvious one isn't it.
If we can be some miracle sign Veratti on top, could have a potentially treble winning team.
-------DDG---------
Tim Small Bailly Shaw
---Pogs--Veratti----
Micki--Griz---Martial
------Zlatan---------

Genuinely the least realistic option possible. Plus we have Rashford now

I keep saying that Messi is a real possibility on that right side.

It's tough to judge which area of the side will need the most improvement in a years time. As it stands I'd love a world class centre back such as Bonucci/Chiellini but he's signed Bailly and presuming we go into the season with him and Smalling at centre half and they have a really good season, we won't need to invest in one. Midfield will look very strong if we bring Pogba in but you've got Carrick/Basti who are getting on and Schneiderlin who didn't really find his feet last season and if he struggles this season I'll be wanting a new holding mid brought in to replace him. Although I do think and hope we'll see him at his best this season so that issue will be quashed pretty swiftly. In attack we're pretty strong but Zlatan may only stay a year. Like Schneiderlin, Memphis needs to find his best form this season as well or else he could be out the door next summer. #10 is another position which as it stands could do with improving but we have players capable of nailing down a starting role in that position. The right hand side of attack all comes down to where Mkhitaryan plays, if he plays there then we're sorted but he's more than capable of nailing down a starting place at #10, if that happens we'll almost certainly need another RW. Taking everything into consideration. I've landed on Bale to play RW. I don't think there's a player in world football more suited to playing there for us in the premier league. The thought of this lineup gives me an erection: Dave
Valencia Smalling Bailly Shaw
Schneiderlin Pogba
Bale Mkhitaryan Martial
Zlatan

That's what I was going for. Wasn't sure because I know how much you rate him! I do think he's the third best forward in the world but we can never get him sadly. My choice would depend on who has a brilliant season and who might be moving where (we should prevent Griezmann going to city at all costs, for example) but a CB is priority for me. Varane is probably the biggest and most 'age-value' name on the list. Rugani from Juve or Tah from Leverkusen aren't Galactico signings right now but their hype could rocket. Likewise Sule at Hoffenheim.

Perhaps this might have been more suitable in September?

Greavsie, for the romantic in me.
Chiellini, for the realist. Bailly is a mere novice in defenders years and Mike needs schooling in the dark art of nasty bastard defending. He is too obvious at the moment.
