Thats very conspiracyesque. Explain. He was at Everton where he wasn't exactly pulling up trees, he was slowly getting to where he wanted to be and had no weight of expectation on his shoulders then he's offered the managers job at argueably the biggest club in the world where the fans want trophies every season and following the greatest manager in the history of the game with a squad that needed an overhaul. Conditions were nowhere near optimal for him and he had the choice of sink or swim - he sank. I think the actual turning point where the board decided to get rid was when he said we should aspire to be like city. I do agree with that to a point. But I don't think he would have got through the door without Fergie or this idea he works well on a budget. I think our marketing departments success meant that there was more money becoming available and the penny dropped with the carpet baggers that Manchester United as a brand could no longer be done on the cheap. The debt is still there.

Bavaria should appoint Moyes instead of Heynckes. I'm sure David could give them the balance and mentality they actually need.

Bit of a coincidence an article about hard done by Dave appears in the press on the same day of an important qualifier for Scotland. You've got to admire the confidence and self awareness of the man. He must be a distant relative of Rooney somehow?

He can take a running jump off a cliff and get beaten up by bagpipes, the Scottish football team is bad enough as it is and he would only make them worse.

Even now he complains about any reasons but can't just say "That was my fault".

The one positive was his sacking and not long after, Liverpool letting it slip.
At least the season ended with us laughing at the Scouse after them laughing at us all season.
