I ordered a Volvo XC40 PHEV last weeks I’m now of an age where pootling around in a Volvo is seen as acceptable. However, worldwide issues regarding the procurement of semi-conductors, affecting the car industry as a whole, means that it won’t be built until “April ‘22 at least” according to the salesman. Bugger. Volvo's are amazing automobiles. Be proud you've ordered one. That cunting semiconductor problem is exactly why I've been unable to get my PS5 till date. Had a really long test drive of the one I want (Inscription Pro) last Thursday along with my son. Absolutely brilliant car, full of kit, except ,strangely, Apple Car Play, which is an option. Really annoying about the semiconductor issues!

I’ve kept my VW Tiguan for almost 6 years after extending my contract , I’ve now changed it for a Hyundai Tuscon TGDI Mild Hybrid NLine S DCT which I picked up yesterday. Very impressed so far ,especially after discovering how to lock, and unlock the bugger!

Any recommendations for something to make driving more comfortable? It took me over two hours to do 36 miles last night and I was fucked when I got home. I've got a Peugeot expert van. There is no joy in driving anymore!

As for Frenchie, it's a company van, so I don't get a choice 😔

In my other life I used to drive as part of our business and picked up/delivered all over the country,we had a Nissan (Whatever) and a Citroen 2CV van for local bobbing about ,the Nissan was a decent, medium sized van but the 2CV was an absolute workhorse and would (occasionally) carry far more than intended, but was rock solid(ish).😂 And ‘jams’ I’ve had a few etc, that’s one part of my previous life that I really don’t miss.

LPT- car washing. Soda crystals. Forget the expensive shampoo etc. Get to B&M or similar and a bag of soda crystals will cost £2. It'll bring your motor up like new. It's pretty good for all other cleaning purposes too! Maybe not your nether regions, but who knows?!!
