He is a good candidate but I don't know if he could have gathered enough votes.

Of course! It's probably more unusual for sitting VP not to run. He is in his 70s though, maybe that was it. Also think he got out of the way for Hillary, which he clearly shouldn't have done. I don't like Hillary or dislike her as much as other people do. Think she would have made an excellent President but is a terrible candidate, if that makes sense.
Biden would have had a much easier sold cross-demo support, I think.

Hopefully he'll get the nomination next time, if he's not deemed too old. I think the only reason he wasn't in the running this time was because it was Hillary's 'turn'. I think he's a genuinely good guy and good politician, and probably the only current high level Democrat who stands a chance against Trump. But if Trumps fist term is anything but an absolute disaster, I think the Democrats are fucked anyway. Trump is a cult leader who has convinced his followers than any negativity directed towards him is fake.

I liked Bill Clinton a great deal as well, brilliant speaker, and he got stuff done, (even with the lack of morality) Most people I talk to don't know he wss a Rhodes Scholar, a brilliant man, the "Aw Shuckz" stuff was front of a stone killer of a politician He is very likable Biden lost his son, I think that was a huge part of it. My little brother lost his boy to Cancer at 21 (a brilliant an very well liked young man, over 700 people at his memorial from all over the US) little bro has never come back 100%, he is a exceptionally gifted and well respected (internal medicine) Doc and the "tired" shows in his eyes. Biden;'s son was in mid 40's

I said before I was sure Trump would put a ton of comics to work with his victory, definitely looking to be the case.; Comedy gold.

100% certain Biden would have beaten Hillary. He could have got her supporters and Sanders supporters both to defect and then, once the nomination was won, come together. About 80% certain he could have won the election as he is respected by moderate Republicans (many of whom hated Hillary) and is almost as popular as Obama in the Midwest states that went from Obama to Trump.
However, he had a very good excuse not to run (the death of his son, to go with the deaths of another son and his first wife in the past), and I don't blame him for not doing so.

Anyway there is nothing I can do so it's maybe time I try and ignore all this for a while. I honestly appreciate that you care about this as much as you do, because you're not even American. I have been around long enough to know how the world reacted to Reagan and Bush 1 and then Bush 2. That's 20 years where my team was shut out and we had little to no say in how or what this country did. I can also say that in those 20 years there was no end to the abuse and scorn heaped on America and Americans, as if we were all in lockstep. So I truly appreciate someone who can see the bigger picture.

Being "Haze Grey and Underway" got to experience a great deal of that first hand, though TBF, I was frequentuy embarrassed by the conduct of a lot of the people coming off ships. Far to many Americans show a lack of courtesy which used to piss several of us off. They often times abused our hands with their heads

On a less serious note, just saw article that Trump is still whining about the crowd at his inauguration, (pissed at press for reporting numbers correctly) So he saw a couple photos and ordered them hung up in the whitehouse, showing large crowds. What he didn't notice is that on those pics the date was Jan 21st and the photos he ordered hung were of the woman's march Stand up comics jobs available all over the place. Photos here
