That Trump speech was a disgrace. Not a suprise but still, it’s shocking that American politics has gotten to this point. This is what bemuses me the most, he has taken the US to a borderline Banana Republic in a very short space of time. If this was a Central/South American country, it would be globally ridiculed. A journalist the other night said that conference reminded him of one Mugabe gave near the end of his reign.

Voted for Trump. Stop your judgements for a second because I am not a racist, white supremacist, uneducated, science and climate denier, sexist, bible thumping, whatever else gets attributed.. there’s many more like me. First generation American whose family came from a communist block, who feels the current trending ideologies and policies of the Democratic Party is not beneficial to the country, it’s people, and state of affairs here, therefor the Republican candidate is a better selection. Both extremes are awful. I could get behind someone like Tulsi Gabbard in the future. She’s not a typical progressive dem so they’ve already begun to ostracize her. I’m curious- how does your chosen candidate’s behaviour over the last 48 hours make you feel? The pathetic whining, the ridiculous conspiracy theories, the lack of anything approaching human dignity in the face of imminent defeat? Are you not ashamed? Or is this another one of his behaviours you are willing to ignore, like his race baiting and misogyny? The last 5-6 years has been a referendum on which set of facts people chose to ignore, hasn’t it? I didn’t say I was voting because I like his personality did I?

Hey, whatever gets you through the night. Yup just fine thank you. How you can go with the candidate whose party is already planning on rebranding Cuban Americans as white instead of Latinos, due to their republican support, is beyond my comprehension. Believing that you can have the authority to put people in and out of certain boxes, is why we are in this mess. Identity politics is a disaster for the globe.

God stew, if there’s anything Ive taken away from years here is that you would be an absolute disaster to have an in person conversation with. I sleep just fine. I didn’t see your cute edit of your post adding in the bit about “not answering” your question. Read between the lines, that’s what you always do here. How’s that for an answer?

I too asked you quite a few questions a page back. You've conveniently deflected all of them. At least that's what it looks like. You want to have a conversation but you don't want to actually talk and discuss anything. Now you bring up a vague and utterly random point about Cuban Americans as if that's such a hot button issue for you that you voted Trump? Come on man, asking and answering questions is part of discourse. If you start evading questions, people will call you on it.

Everyone in a democracy has a right to vote for whoever they want, although then, in Trump’s case the desire to then disenfranchise millions of legitimate voters be calling for the “counting to stop” MUST give you pause Kamilo surely? Further ,his utterly baseless accusations with regards to electoral fraud , dismissed by at least three courts currently, must also make you wonder if you backed the right horse? His not understanding how his own country’s electoral system works should also cause you concern, “I went to bed, I was in the lead everywhere, then, when I woke up, all these other votes had appeared” It’s called mail-in voting Donald-He obviously didn’t get the memo. Tine and time again, Secretaries of States had to come out and tell people (prohim) that the process was rigorous, checked, and legal. He was also the firs(sitting) President that I’m aware of that, after again accusing no one in particular of electoral fraud, had his (live) speech, cut away from by the (evil) MSM. Thoughts Kamilo?

Come on man, asking and answering questions is part of discourse. If you start evading questions, people will call you on it. With your post I did not have time to respond after making my statement, which wasn’t a reply to anyone, simple as. Didn’t even get to watch either match this week as I’m busy with home reno. Took a week off work to refinish 4 flights of stairs. Believe you starter with race. He hasn’t had a go in my opinion at anyone race, he’s given positions on issues and the left have called him a racist in response time and time again. Oddly, the same man was given accolades my Jessie Jackson for his employment of black Americans in his businesses years ago. He physically has denounced white supremacy on multiple occasions. His problem then is the “stand down and stand by” bullshit he says around it which is a head scratcher but he has denounced them, even years ago. Meanwhile antifa and BLM violence won’t get denounced by the left? Why? They’re doing irreversible damage to communities and private businesses. Look at Portland, it’s 4 months plus of nightly unrest, what do these people think is going to happen when you state you want to invade and destroy a federal property and take action to do so? We had riots here in Cleveland many owners were forced to shut down permanently as insurance usually doesn’t cover “civil unrest.” All the work done in the last two decades to make downtown Cleveland a pleasant place to be was halted, storefronts are still boarded up from June. In 2012 I voted for Obama as an optimist and in my opinion the divisiveness started then with all the identity politics. And my point about Cubans is random? Maybe I relate to it seeing how communism works in reality? Climate change, I don’t agree with a lot of this from him. Climate change is real but I don’t think we can have a “green new deal” approach to it, realistic steps that the private sector can afford instead of planning to be carbon free in a very short time. He made this point in one of the debates. California boasts how progress they are, did you know California is in a energy deficit nearly every single day? They purchase electricity from neighboring states at peak usage times, and often there are scheduled black outs. Doesn’t seem very efficient to me yet. And this is one of largest states with abundant resources to make it work, and they can’t. Forests, when my family comes here from Poland they are usually shocked by how mismanaged forestry is here, there’s zero cleanup. Trump is correct about that and the California governor has admitted it. When will they focus efforts on China and India who produce an obscene amount of pollution in comparison to most western nations. During early lockdowns the air was clean for the first time in decades in these places, is their impact not far more substantial on the globe. In general I’m far more about realistic alternatives than emotion and ideology Greta Thunberg type shouting. Although good for her. And there was something about his behavior with woman? Got cought many times looking like an asshole didn’t he? It’s not much different from the shit you’ll here most groups of guys spewing in the pubs but I understand it’s not presidential, nor do I like it. No ones keeps mentioning the claims against Biden, a former staffer gave a reputable account of Biden raping her, and the US media glossed over it? I thought we had to believe all women? Hope that clears it up next time you think I’m deflecting consider not everyone gives the same amount of energy into these online platforms that’s why I don’t use most of the main social media platforms.

Actually I agree with that above. Reduntildeath. I resorted to a childish insult, mainly because I felt goaded into it but should have risen above it. Doesn’t do anyone any good.

I think it's telling that someone cannot even say they voted the 'wrong' way without it being demanded that they explain themselves. Particularly in such an apparently hostile tone.
