I think Martial has looked pretty decent in the last 2 games. If that one that hit the post had gone in, it would have put a shine on it. As before I'd start him over Lingard. He's better.

Lingard will almost certainly get the nod though.

I reckon Jose already has his final lineup sorted anyway and Lingard is in there. He's started most of our big games over the last few weeks. Including all 4 games in the last 2 rounds of the Europa.

I saw that Fellaini could be injured. We can dream, but maybe Lingard and Rooney can also pick up injuries as well. Minor ones, like a fortnight type niggle that would prevent one from playing in say a cup final but not preventing said individual from passing a medical elsewhere. Anywhere really. Just not here anymore.

Martial made quite a few mistakes that led to counter attacks vs. Southampton, even if he hit the post once I don't think Jose would risk it with him starting the final.

That being said, I think that if he does well vs. Palace he should definitely be brought on as a sub against Ajax if we need to score. On paper it's almost criminal to compare him to Lingard, but Jesse is less of a wild card at the moment and Jose won't play someone he can't fully trust in the final.
