Sign him up... Ahead of the release of FIFA 18 later this month, Paris Saint-Germain’s Thomas Meunier had a game or two with some journalists, which gave them the perfect opportunity to ask him a few questions about various things, including one of his favourite teams, Manchester United. Already expressing his love for the Red Devils in the past, the Belgian right-back, who will know all about the club through his international teammates such as Romelu Lukaku and Marouane Fellaini, was asked who he normally played with when picking up a controller. He told SFR Sport: “Paris Saint-Germain, of course, but that’s mostly to put myself up top. Other than that, Manchester.” When pushed a bit further about which club he meant, Meunier added with a smile: “ United. The real one. Because I’ve always been a Manchester fan.” Since he brought up the Premier League side, the reporter then went on to ask him what he thought of what was going at Old Trafford these days, and the self-proclaimed fan admitted he was happy with what he was seeing. He said: “They’ve really built a good team this year, especially Matic, who I would have really like to see join Paris Saint-Germain as he’s truly exceptional, and regarding the rest, they’ve got a very good manager, a very good group, a very good fanbase. They’re the perfect club. They’re really good.” With Antonio Valencia not exactly getting any younger these days, and Thomas Meunier’s stock rising by the week in European football, perhaps the right-back is giving José Mourinho something to think about for the future? After all, if Manchester United came knocking, it seems the defender would find it hard to say no. First, though, you would have to convince Paris Saint-Germain I'm afraid we already have a Belgian stalwart who happens to have the most glorious afro this side of the 1960's. About time you got his name on the back of your shirt...

Serie A star's agent reveals 'strong pressure' from 'Manchester', Red Devils previously interested Bringing in Nemanja Matic to bolster his midfield over the summer, José Mourinho addressed a key part of his Manchester United squad by signing the Chelsea defensive midfielder. Despite this, it appears the Special One was keen on more than just the Serbian this summer, keeping an eye on one of his compatriots in Lazio’s Sergej Milinkovic-Savic. The 22-year-old was apparently a target for the Manchester United manager back in April, as per a report from Il Tempo, but bringing him in would have cost around €60-70m. That was pretty much it, yet it appears the interest was genuine, as explained by the player’s agent, former Chelsea forward Mateja Kezman, speaking to Radio CRC and relayed by Calciomercato. He said: “There was some strong pressure already this summer from clubs like Madrid, Manchester and Milan, but the kid wanted to be happy and play to continue to grow and become one of the best in the world in his position. “For now, it’s difficult to think of a future elsewhere than Lazio, who have started very well, but I cannot rule out that he could go at the end of the season.” Interestingly, the agent didn’t specify which Manchester club was after his client, even if, around the world, ‘Manchester’ on its own tends to mean Manchester United, with Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City usually referred to as ‘City’. It’s not inconceivable that the Spaniard would be interested in bringing the young midfielder to the Etihad in the foreseeable future, but with all the options already at his disposal in his squad, he would have struggled to fit him in this season. Next year, however, when Yaya Touré likely leaves Manchester City, things could be different. sportwitness.co.uk/serie-stars-agent-reveals-strong-pressure-manchester-red-devils-previously-interested/

Don't think I've seen a professional become an agent after retiring before. Shows the way the game is going now...

I see Raiola is planning for his next big OT payday(s) Dybala? Did you see his hat trick at the weekend? Great goalscorer and scorer of great goals.

That's one of them, yes I will give a Kidney to get Dybala. If we don't get Griezzman (we will) then he would be my first muppet choice.

We need a right winger and I think Christian pulisic should join us. He's 19 and worlds of talent. Already playing at Dortmund. We should pick him up before real does when Bale moves or retires.

The Sun 'reporting' we're going to steal Sanchez from under City's nose by offering a £25M signing-on fee.
